USS Plutus

Stepping onto the Plutus, Sher’ra almost immediately put a hand onto the closest bulkhead and closed her eyes for a moment before smiling, “I think she’s either chomping at the bit or a little nervous” she said, before opening her eyes again, “she’s shaking”

"Whatever it is, she's in proper form." Mirae said as she stepped out from the back, PADD in hand. She'd just finished the inspection of the Plutus when she heard a familiar voice. "What's the situation?"

“I think I’ll leave that for the commander to explain” Sher’ra said before heading for her station

Tam arrived just behind the two ladies, "We've got some trouble heading our way and we get to be the little gnats that will be stinging it. We've got Iconians that are coming for us and the station, we will need to stop them hence our lovely fighter squad." She moved to the pilot seat, "Okay lets get ready to rumble" flashing a concerned smile towards the others.

She connected with the other runabouts that were there, "This is Commander Holt, give me an update on your status, is everyone getting settled in?"

Mirae looked at the hatch to the runabout, but didn't move a muscle toward it. Instead she pressed the panel to close it and took an empty seat in front of a console.

She wasn't overly familiar with federation tech and ascetics, but the basics were mostly universal as far as she was concerned. "Just let me know what you need."

Sher'ra will man the weapons, you will be my co-pilot, Mirae." Tam responded. Then she called to those of the Attack Wing. "This is Commander Holt everyone move out into formation." As Tam moved her ship out away from the station.

She could feel the thrill course through her veins as they were going into a conflict to keep the station safe. This was well within her line of being in security but on a much larger scale.

Standing at the tactical station, Sher’ra carefully looked over the display infront of her, taking it all in. The weapons station onboard a Starbase was one thing, but being at Tactical on a Starship was an experience in itself.

USS Zagreus

Junjie entered the Zagreus and looked about at the ship. He felt a little nervous about the mission and berated himself knowing they had friends out there that needed their help and soon. The T'kon Captain said that the Iconians would likely kill the prisoners if given the chance. He sat down in the pilots chair and activated the main power. " Computer, begin start up sequence and run a level 1 diagnostics on all systems. " Less then a minute later the computer responded. =^= All systems are within normal parameters. =^= He activated the com system and then closed his eyes to meditate until his partner showed up and began on some deep cleansing breaths.

Osil watched the man from a slight distance, feeling the anxiety as if it were his own. "Easy does it," he murmured as he placed himself at the tactical station.

Junjie felt relaxed and more at ease and let out one more cleansing breath before he opened his eyes and saw someone sitting at tactical. " Hello Lieutenant, I don't believe I've met you before. " As he held out his hand. " I am Lieutenant Jinjie Han, CSO for the station. I hope you don't mind me taking helm. I'm a better shuttle pilot then tactical officer. Are you good with the weapons system? " He asked and then thought a second. " I never did get your name......? "

"I should hope so, being a tactical officer," the Betazoid smirked, accepting the offered hand. "Osil Haistro. I'm the handsome one... obviously," he said, his easy smile widening. "Also.. I'm not much of a pilot so... We got the job cut out for us huh?"

" This might be a rough ride that we're heading for. " Said Junjie. " From what I'm hearing, we'll be heading out with all four runabouts, the Cardassian patrol ship, The Copernius, and the T'kon warship. We'll go out and meet the Iconian warship and hopefully get the Cerberus and her crew back without to much trouble. "

Osil smirked, almost happily. "Well... can't have enough excitement, can we? I'm sure we'll get our ship back.... I mean with the T'Kon on our side, we're a strong force to be reckoned with, right?"

" I hope you're right, but we don't have enough data to come to a solid conclusion as of yet. I would agree we have a strong strike force, I'd like it much better if the Iconians saw it that way as well. " Junjie double checked the systems to make sure all was in readiness to depart. " I like my settings to be a little more structured, where experiments can be controlled and monitored. that and get us back to our own time, I've still got a lot of work to do and a wedding to plan. "

Over the communications comes Commander Holt's voice.

=^= "This is Commander Holt, give me an update on your status, is everyone getting settled in?" =^=

Junjie smiled as heard Tam's voice come over the Com channel. =^= This is Lieutenant Han, USS Zagreus manned and ready. And may fortune favor us all. =^=

Junjie still smiling looked to Osil. " That was the voice of my bride to be, She's my reason for living and why I want to come back from this mission."

"Then we'll just have to make sure you'll get back won't we?" Osil smiled.

" Let's just make sure both of us come back. " Said Junjie. " Better yet, I hope we come back with no losses, that would be the best results we could hope for. "

=^="This is Commander Holt everyone move out into formation."=^=

=^= USS Zagreus Acknowledge last. Clearing launch bay and moving to formation position. =^= Said Junjie over the com channel.

USS Eringes

G'Rani bustled into the cockpit to find it was still powered down, her co-pilot obviously still to arrive. She had been told this could be a combat mission, and this made her nervous. With the exception of fighting Cardassian Voles and the collision that Copernicus had sustained while leaving the demon infested planet she could say she had never really been in a combat situation.
"Computer, bring fusion reactor online, begin flight prep!"

Edward Hurriedly came into the runabout. " Ensign Teach reporting for...." He stopped speaking as he saw G'Rani and grinned. " Hey Lieutenant. " He said as he sat down in the other seat. " It's good to see that they paired me up with someone I know and has common sense. Now where ya want me at Lieutenant? Gunning or Flying?

=^= "This is Commander Holt, give me an update on your status, is everyone getting settled in?" =^=

Edward keyed the com channel. " USS Eringes Manned and ready. " Came his gruff voice over the com channel.

"You take the weapons ensign... Have you every been into combat before?" some of her nervousness seeping into G'Rani's tone and the yellow-ish hues deepening on her crest.

Edward Responded. " Weapons Aye. " He sat and began to configure the weapon station for optimal use. He looked up at G'rani after hearing her question about combat. There was a pained expression in his eyes. " Aye Lass, I've tasted combat before. " His voice got softer as he stared at the control panel. " I was an engineering cadet sent to help out at Utopia Planitia and get some practical hands on training, it was a dream job for an aspiring cadet to get in there my hands dirty. Then on April fifth of 2385, the Tal Shiar cabal Zhat Vash Attacked and destroyed the Utopia Planitia shipyards and set Mars ablaze. The survivors were sent down to the surface of Mars to help the home guard defend against the Zhat Vash attack until Starfleet reinforcements showed up. it was bloody and bitter fighting lass, got shot twice by disruptor fire and a blade strike that took out me right kidney which had to be cloned and replaced. I earned me purple heart with clusters in that battle. "

He looked at her and smiled. " It be natural to be nervous before going into battle, Hell I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a bit nervous right now. Remember your training and trust the ones your with to help you and you'll be fine, We get out of this and we'll share a bottle and I'll most likely have another scar to talk about. " He said with a good natured grin.

"Disengage umbilical's and clear all moorings. I'll keep us in formation with the others once we depart!" her tone once again betraying her inexperience. G'Rani attempted a smile, still a very alien action for her as she brought the engins online and began to thrust the small craft away from the station.

Edward snapped back once he heard the command. " Aye, Umbilical's and magnetic moorings are clear. Power levels are steady across the board. Weapons are on standby mode but not armed, we are ready to go. " He reported back to G'Rani.

=^= USS Eringes clearing launch bay and joining formation. =^= Came Teaches reply.

Varin's Ship

“You can’t be serious!” First Officer and Pilot Omlo Karjix protested. “Not only are we supporting the Federation and their efforts, but we’re also going up against the Iconians?”

Glinn Slorir Varin didn’t blame his XO for the concerns. Everything that they had heard from history about the Iconians and the T’Kon had been storied and the legends were downright scary. The honorific ‘Demons of Air and Darkness’ had not been misplaced when it came to them. While their technology was impressive, their methods were far from. “That is correct.”

Their Technician – Mijal Josett – was the next to voice concerns. A survivor of Lakarian City, Mijal was a bit more trepidatious about entering into combat and more inwardly focused on the Union. Her words weren’t much of a surprise, “We do not need to focus our efforts on supporting the Federation in their conflict against a far superior force, Sir. Our actions here today could plunge the Union into a far more dangerous proposition than we were in as far back as the Dominion War. “That, coupled with the fact that this is not a combat craft, puts us in a very dangerous position.”

“That’s not entirely true,” Jal Gholin – the Security Officer – challenged. “The Thrarim may be old and part of the diplomatic service now, but she was once a patrol craft designed to combat threats along the Demilitarized Zone. She’s based upon the Federation’s Defiant Class warship, the base being stolen plans that the Obsidian Order uncovered after the Federation’s defeat at Wolf 359. This ship can handle herself in combat.”

The XO protested, “It may be able to handle itself, but that doesn’t make this our war!”

“All wars benefit the Cardassian Union, Sir, we just don’t always realize why immediately,” Gholin charged back.

“You’re one of those ones that believes the best diplomat in the galaxy is a fully charged phaser bank,” Karjix said with a grunt. “You’re no better than Dukat.”

“Legate Dukat was many things,” Gholin answered fiercely, “but he was a true patriot.”

Josett couldn’t ignore that, “He nearly got us all killed!”

Having had enough Varin finally had to interrupt, “It doesn’t matter! The decision has been made. We will support the efforts of the Federation in this instance. Prepare for immediate departure. Omlo, requests departure clearance from the Operations Complex. Mijal, bring shipboard systems to full operation once we are clear. Jal, have weapons and shields brought online after Mijal gets you the power you need.”

Among the chorus of ‘Aye,’ the Glinn realized there was one member of his senior echelon he had not heard from. Turning his chair, he saw his Science Officer standing next to her post near the exit silently. “You were awfully quiet, Soke.”

Soke Entem, Science and Medical Officer for the Thrarim, looked up from her workstation, “There really isn’t much to say. I have known you for a very long time, the discussion was already over before we even began. As much as you hate the Federation If you had agreed to launch this offensive with them, you had must have good reason for it. I just hope it doesn’t get us all killed.”

“We are cleared to depart,” the XO interrupted.

“Have the Medical Bay ready to receive injured personnel,” he ordered as her words sunk into his head, not revealing his true thoughts to anyone about this little jaunt. He turned back toward the forward stations where his XO and the Technician sat, “Take us out.”

As the Thrarim left its docking port, Varin just hoped none of them were right.
