| Personal History | Osil is the middle child of three, much closer in age to his sister, than he is to his older brother. He had a fairly carefree youth as a young child, but always looked up to his older brother, knowing he had big shoes to fill. When he was just six years old, both his parents went missing and were presumed to be dead. Orphaned and feeling alone Osil grew up in foster care with his sister, while Keiben pursued his academic career. When Keiben went off to the academy, Osil knew he had to work hard to get there too. He wanted to follow his brother, somewhat envious of his age now. Once he was of age himself, Osil found he had an aptitude for security but his dream was to one day have a command of his own. A ladies man on and off duty, Osil had quite a few relationships during his academy years and beyond, but somehow they never seemed to last. Though his tongue-in-cheek nearly always cheerful manner does get him places, Osil does miss the steadiness of a family of his own. He was yet again envious when his brother had a family of his own, which somewhat made him feel as if he came second at the time. But when his brother's family was killed, he was the first to offer his support, as only a younger sibling could do. Now after several years of service in Starfleet, across various assignments, Osil finds himself assigned to his brother's vessel, a place he had often dreamed to be but duty seemed to sent him elsewhere. And now, he could at least try to keep one oath he'd sworn to himself: keep his brother safe. Unfortunately however after his brother was killed during a parasitic invasion, Osil lost himself as he felt he had failed in the one oath he had required of himself. After Keiben's death, he was inconsolable. |
