Mission: Episode 5 - Objects In Motion
Location: One of the Chief's many places to hide

"Should be just one more level up, there will be a hatch at the top, key pass is eight seven seven nine nine." The chief climbed behind his new girlfriend the words rung in his head. He liked the sound of it. "I hope you like this, another place that not many know about." He paused as he huffed up another rung. "For all sorts of good reasons. Transporters can't lock onto it either, discovered it during renovations."

"It has been very intriguing and making certain I keep my girllish figure." making a quip. "And no transporters can't lock onto it. I like the sound of that." she looked down towards Jon, "Are you going to be okay? Or are you being lost in the view above." giving a laugh.

"A bit of both" He would have smiled had he not had eaten so much previously. "What can I say, you just take my breath away. Best I can figure with this space is that it was repaired after construction with material on hand from the expanse. Who knows, scrambles all manner of things trying to get in. I locked it off for umm, safety precautions."

Shailyn nodded and when she reached the hatch she keyed in the code.

The hatch reluctantly groaned open. The room had a large couch along the wall, comfy looking if not a bit worn. A table with a few few glasses that had never been cleaned up. A small pantry and snacks lined the far wall next to the couch. Across from the couch, what could only be described as stunning, was a window, from which the other two docking pylons could be seen, and the inky black of the surrounding space.

Jon pulled himself up. "Stoun hidey hole number one one three." He kicked a button on the floor and the hatch closed. "Well?"

Shailyn was astounded when she saw this set up. She could only just stare at the hidey hole, she loved it. "Oh my this is amazing!" she exclaimed. Shailyn made her way to the couch to look at the view, "One can get lost in looking out there. Just so transfixing." She looked at Jon. "This is definitely-" words failed Shailyn at this point. She could only just smile up at her boyfriend. There were stars outside and they were reflected in her eyes.

"So what do you think?" He leaned down into the mini fridge and grabbed a beer and handed it to Lothain. "I come up here and sit now and then, read over reports, stare out into space. I think once we get out here, we don't take the time to just look at it out there." He took another beer from the fridge, cracked the top and then sat down on the couch. He watched as one of the worker bee shuttles moved about, doing some kind of job. "Feel free to come here whenever, just, don't tell anyone deal?"

Shailyn accepted the bottle from Jon, "How shall I assure you that I won't tell anyone. Maybe give me a kiss and I'll not tell." giving a teasing smile. "Remember I do not kiss and tell." she opened up the bottle, took a sip then added, "Actually even if you don't kiss me, I won't tell. This, this is wonderful, and it would be more wonderful if you take a seat by my side and we can gaze out there just enjoying the view, and each other's company." giving a bit of a wave to encompass the whole thing.

Jon awkwardly scooted over on the couch, and sat next to Shailyn. "Ok, we can seal it with a kiss." He leaned in and kissed her. He laughed a little bit, "I never expected bring anyone here, let alone my girlfriend. I mean realistically a few hours ago I was just a crotchety hermit... well maybe I'm still a bit of a hermit."

Shailyn gave a contented sigh, snuggling up to Jon, "A hermit boyfriend with a hermit girlfriend. I don't mind not being social. It might change, but, I am quite happy being here with you."lifting her head and returning his kiss, sliding her arms around him. Just being able to hold him have this sort of contact with Jon. "This is a dream come true." she said softly.

"Yeah, even better then getting plasma injectors running properly." His eyes closed. He just enjoyed the moment. The hum of the station. The woman's breathing. It had been a while since he let his guard down, take off the armor that he had so carefully constructed. Deep down, he hoped he didn't regret it. "I really want to make this work, so don't be afraid to call me on any nonsense. Promise?"

"I promise, I'll call you on it, like for instance, if you are worried about our relationship I'll call you on it. As I said, best thing to do is lets take it one day at a time and just enjoy us being together, finally." she softly chuckled, "And I am just enjoying being here, next to you, my arms around you. Also let me know if I am having worries as well. I don't think I will though. I've pretty much made up my mind, to be here with you through thick and thin."

The quiet was nice, the feeling of warmth, closeness, the vulnerability of it. "Deal". he pulled her a little bit closer and rested his head on hers but not before he kissed the top of her head.

She listened to Jon's strong heart beating, feeling the warmth of his arms around her. Shailyn knew that she was right where she wanted to be, needed to be. It felt like home. "Just how lucky can a girl be?" she asked softly.

"Well, I was going to ask you the same thing really." He kissed her on the head again. "Or the old what's a girl like you doing with a guy like me?" he laughed a little bit and rubbed her shoulder. "Well, let's umm just be grateful for each others luck. Sound good?" He adjusted himself a bit to be able to lift her face, gave her another kiss and put his arms around her waist.

"If I am not careful I'll fall asleep in your arms, as this is rather comfortable." reaching up to caress his cheek. "Part of me wants to jump in feet first throw caution to the wind. The other part of me is saying, got to let you decide." placing a finger upon Jon's chest. "What do you want to do?" Shailyn feeling slightly nervous as to asking that particular question.

"Well, to be honest, I think this is a pretty good spot for the moment, I mean, the teenager in me knows what he would say and what he is yelling at me to say." He grinned a bit and laughed, "but well, I don't know, don't want to ruin a good thing right off the rip." Jon watched as a ship came into dock at one of the outer pylons. This was nice, no one around but the two of them. It was pretty much perfect. He only got a few of these moments every now and then.

Shailyn smiled, she was good with his answer, cuddling up to Jon once more. "I do have another question, do you like flowers?" lifting up her head again, blinking through several strands of hair that drooped down into her eyes. "and if so, what sort do you like?"

"Umm" The question threw him off. "Red Carnations, reminds me of my Grandpa. Why?"

Shailyn blushed as she answered Jon, "Well just in case I want to give you a flower, to be romantic. Its always seemed that only men give women flowers when they are wanting to do a romantic gesture, but why not a woman giving a man who she adores a flower? Well that is my thinking anyway."

"That is really sweet. I'd love a flower, reminds me when you'd go to a dance in school, and the girl would get you one for your suit." He stroked her hair a bit. "Got a date for that wedding with Commander Holt?"

"Nope, don't have a date unless it is you." Shailyn smiling. "I would love to be your date to the wedding. And oh that is right she and Junjie are getting married! Glad that is finally happening. I could tell those two were in love, it just clicked with those two. I am especially glad for Tamaska, after what she, Keiben and Mel went through. You remember what shape the Copernicus was in."

"Yeah, bit of a mess that whole thing was, well, I'm glad that I don't have to go alone, I mean, apparently I am a hot commodity." Jon pulled her a bit closer. "Sounds better than running a diagnostic after all. May be a way to umm, well, announce ourselves without announcing ourselves, know what I mean, I mean, I don't mean that I'm not ecstatic about being together with you and" He paused. "I'm just going to shut up now."

Shailyn listened to Jon, giving a huge smile. "Oh do go on I am loving hearing this and yes you are a hot commodity, good thing Amalia found someone else as I would have competition for you. I don't mind anyone knowing of us being together. And will make fodder for the rumor mills."

"Ha, well, I'm sure they will be turning faster after this, though I have to admit I like it. So, now what?" Jon, let the question hang in there air.

"Well...we can do a bit more kissing watch the stars until we fall asleep here on the couch. Or, I need to get to my quarters and get myself ready for the wedding of Tam and Junjie." Shailyn, giving a bit of a smile, and placing a kiss upon Jon's cheek.

"Well, tell you what, lets meet between the two options, let's kiss a bit then we can both get ready deal?"

"You've got it, and that is a good plan." With that, Shailyn leaned in pulling him close to her and began the kissing.
