Keiben slipped into his office from the side door, manoeuvring around his desk with as much ease as he could muster given the extra he was currently carrying.

Gently, and slowly he lowered himself down into the chair, thankful of its comfort and size.

He closed his eyes for a moment, taking a deep breath as the baby took a shot at one of his kidneys before looking through to Ops hoping to spot the two people he would need to keep the station balanced while he was occupied, thankfully both were in Ops.

"Commanders Horn and Holt, please come up to my office!" he requested having opened a comm channel.

His station close by, Peter entered the office within seconds of the summons. As he approached, he couldn't help but notice - or even sense!- the change in his commanding officer. "Sir?" he queried, arching an eyebrow as his gaze went towards the bump.

Tamaska walked in, "I am here, Commodore. " She noted the wince of pain on his face. "Hmmnn.. something is happening with you. What can I do for you."

The Commodore manipulated a control on his desktop, the large doors sliding closed with a mechanical hiss and then the inlaid privacy blinds engaging frosting the window's so no other person could see in.

"We have a slight Q problem!" he started, beginning to stand to give the pair a better view of the new situation. "He seemed to think it would be'fun' to make me walk a day or more in Mels shoes... he also dropped a few bombshells about the baby as well!"

Tam's eyes went wide at seeing this and hearing this as well. "Blasted Q, he really got under my skin. And I do not quite know how to deal with him." Tam fumed.

"My personal experience is that it is best not to challenge or antagonize Q," Peter offered, a bitter note to his voice as he said the name, "what did he say about your child?"

"It wasn't anything he said exactly but suggested... Trill could be a genetic descendant of the T'Kon and the change that Mel is going through could have started a similar change in the baby... Cryptic as ever but enough to give me pause!"
Kei had landed back in the chair, trying to shift and make himself comfortable again, if comfort was truly a thing when one was pregnant.

"Interesting, Trill being a genetic descendant. I wouldn't have thought of this at all. Junjie would find this a matter of interest as well." Tamaska mused out loud. She was also watching the way Keiben was moving and imagined herself moving like that as well whenever she may become pregnant.

"Are you suggesting that the T'Kon evolved into the Trill species?" Peter asked, just to be sure he had understood right. "If it took thousands of years for them to do so, that is not unheard of, is it? I am however more concerned for your present condition, as far as I am aware, males are not equipped to carry a child, what if you go into childbirth? The male body is also not equipped to expel a child... you would be in grave danger, as would the child be."

From the window that showed the scenic starscape there was a tap, a knock if you will. Q slid upside down from the top of the window in a comedic fashion and waved with a smirk on his face before appearing in a flash in the main office. "You would be in grave danger, as would the child be." Q mocked Horn. "Can always trust someone to state the obvious." he commented before looking at Keiben.

"How's life? Had any cravings? Mood swings? Is your body telling you that you are nearly ready to give birth to GLORIOUS new life?" Q's dramatic flair being put on show.

"I don't have the strength or energy to fight you Q!" Keiben said sounding defeated physically. He knew that carrying a child put strain on the body but to experience it first hand... He would never come close to under estimating how strong his wife was again after this.

Tam just stared at the arrival of Q, she wasn't amused. She wasn't too happy with his arrival however, you catch more flies with honey than with vinegar. Well that depends on if he was a fruit fly then vinegar would do the trick. "So Q, you were the one who did this to the Commodore? Hadn't thought you had that capability. An interesting situation that has taken place."Tamaska's tone even and calm. "just how long are you going to keep him this way, Q?"

"Hadn't thought I had the capability to simply move a spawn of a T'Kon descendant to a simple Betazoid male?" Q asked rhetorically. "You simple, simple woman." he commented. "All you creatures are of the basest design. The only vaguely interesting ones are the Trill. It's not everyday they come from a minorly eye catching species such as your new guest you brought back from another timeline... oh and shame on you Haistro."

He waved his hands and a small white gloves playfully slapped Keiben across the face. "Messing with time will get you a visit from your time police. Bringing people back from the past... and even that horrible little El Aurian from alternate reality 925 you've kept as your security pet." he smirked. "These things add up." He noted the uncomfortable shifting in Keibens whole body and he sighed.

Simple appearing next to Keiben he began to rub the belly in a somewhat fake motherly fashion. "Let's get you back to your mother eh?" he asked rhetorically once more and with a flash Keiben was back to being his normal, baby-free self. "I do our dearest Melanie wasn't doing anything aerobically challenging." he thought to himself out loud.

Haistro's quarters

"So I said to him go speak to someone," Charlie said refilling their coffee mugs. "Well okay actually Minka and I dragged him to Commander Reynolds when we saw him in the promenade. He was doing that stubborn Vulcan thing you know ..."

Mel chuckled. "I'm familiar with it. Did they talk then?"

"Commander Reynolds had him sit down with him yes. And you know what mum he seemed happier if a emotional Vulcan ever can in school the next day .....

"Half vul ....

There was a flash and Mel's chair was suddenly thrown back a few inches. Immediately her hands went to her swollen belly. "Oh your little brothers back." She pushed the mug towards Charlie. "Bye bye coffee. I better go check Keiben's okay."

Commodore's Office

The addition to his frame now released he could feel his feet again, as if nothing had happened. He did find he had to hold his trousers as he stood though, the Maternity ones he had donned now far in excess of his needs.

"Why are you here Q... other then to terrorise us?"

"Terrorise?" Q plunged his hand into his chest and pulled out a cartoon heart and watched as it broke into two pieces from top to tail. "I release you from the burden of spawn birthing... which would have been fun to see through your 'limited' equipment." he peered over the desk and giggled. "I graciously give you such privileged information about Trill heritage." he flashes an old fashioned flow chart into the room simply with...

T'kon -> Trill -> Q with a confused face with his hands up as if to say 'i dunno'

"I SUBJECT myself to the simple woman and the obvious fact sharing Vulcan/Romulan/Human/Who knows what species he is man here. Then you claim I am terrorising YOU." he laughed. "I think someone is still suffering from that Human expression of baby brain Keiby." Q pinched his cheek and gave it a playful little squeeze.

Tamaska rose from her seat, "I am tired of you treating us as playthings. Why don't you just tell us, well me for that matter, what you like to do besides making life interesting for us or more for you? And that is rather rude for you to treat Kelby, I mean, Keiben like a baby, I dislike when people do pinchy cheeks on people most intensely."

"Oh? You don't like this?" Q popped in front of Holt and pinched both her cheeks and went 'coochie coo' before seeing her face turn a little red. He chose to retreat to a safe distance. "Oh! I know! Since you like acting like a baby." He grinned and in a flash Tamaska became an adolescent in nice command red. "Aw, weren't you a cute little biped."

Tamaska looked down at her now ten year old body, "What in the world! And why do I have the extreme desire of finding a pack of crayons!" she looked over towards Keiben, who now was even more taller than she was, by about a eight inches. Normally he was four inches taller than she was him being six foot four, but now it was even more. "I feel very petite right now. This is rather strange!"

Keiben moved around his desk, holding his no longer needed maternity trousers to stop them from falling so he could stand between Q and his now ten year old first officer.

"Q... turn her back and whatever you have to say, just say it in plain terms!"

"Have you lost weight?" Q took a step back and arched his neck. It was as if he was looking Keiben up and down. "Who knew a promotion could be so slimming." He grinned and walked back to the flip chart and sighed.

Pointing at the displayed words. "D'Broodys baby, Melanie herself as a joined Trill, are descendants of the T'Kon. Plain enough?"

Peter moved to stand in front of the other two, against better judgement as he knew Q could do things at a mere whim. He had experienced such for himself several years past. "That is madness," he said, "the T'Kon are long since extinct. Trill are not T'Kon, it is not possible."

Q flashed the board away and nodded. "Ah you're right. My mistake. Us all knowing, all seeing, omnipotent beings who have control over time, space and all things that you cannot comprehend are wrong." He began his over dramatisation of the situation.

He clicked his fingers and a new t-shirt appeared over the Admiral uniform. It was white with black lettering, I'm with stupid! with an arrow pointing up at Q's head.

"What do you think tiny Holt? Be careful now, you're answer might let you be with the grown ups again." He grinned devious grin.

"Q are not all-knowing," Peter answered, "they are meddlesome at best."

Q put a face of shock on, of horror at what he'd heard. "Blasphemy!" He yelled now donning an old monks cloak and branded a cross at Peter. "Heresy!" He started throwing specks of water at Horn and with a flash he was in a small wooden stock. So, Peter was not bent over in a wooden stock with his hands and head trapped in a small hole. At the end it was locked so he couldn't escape. "Keiby, please. At this rate all your crew shall be forsaken and end up in the pits of your species Hells." He paused for a moment. "Oh... that sounds fun."

Tamaska was trying to see around the taller men now, feeling just a bit exasperated feeling like the bottom of a well. "What do I think about what, about your omnipotence, you are definitely like Loki and even Mercury, even the age old jester of the court who is way smarter than he appears due to him acting as a fool. Gosh can I have a box of crayons please? I also feel like I am at the bottom of a well, all of you are so tall now!"

"Well thank you." Q bowed at Tamaska. "They truly were great friends of mine." he grinned. "For that you get a prize." and before her appeared a large box of crayons and a colouring book.

"Well, I'll see you in Hells." Q winked before disappearing, and as he done so Horn was released from the stocks but Tamaska still remained a child.
