Mission: Episode 4 - The Fires Of Hades
Location: Security office, Promenade
Timeline: Current

On:

Sitting in the security office, Sher'ra was busy scrolling through the security reports coming in from all over the station. The station wasn't exactly in the best of states when they arrived and now it's been battered by these waves and other space things and now with her entire staff on duty nearly around the clock, the cracks were beginning to show.

Coming across Mirae's prisoner file, Sher'ra suddenly had an idea. it may not be by the book, but this was that kind of situation.

tapping her combadge, Sher'ra called down to her security on the promenade to have one of them bring Mirae to the office.

Kaylee decided to head on down there to get Mirae. She wondered just how the woman would react, she also wondered why Sher'ra wanted her. Well when the chief says to do something Kaylee was going to be doing so.

Mirae laid on her back under the console. She was far from an engineer, but she knew broken and burned out crap when she saw it. Almost by instinct, she knew someone was standing near her even if she couldn't see them. "What now?"

"Hi, I'm Lieutenant Kaylee Serra, the chief would like to have a word with you. If you don't mind. You're not in trouble though." the blonde security officer replied. "She asked me to come get you."

Brodie watched Kaylee walk into a structure and got curious and followed her in. He had heard voices but didn't hear the exchange. " Lieutenant Serra, everything alright here? do you require assistance? " He then noticed a pair of legs sticking out from underneath a console and wondered what was going on and who the person was that the Lieutenant was speaking with.

Kaylee looked at Brodie, "Oh everything is okay. Lieutenant Verona wanted Mirae to come to security. She's not in trouble just Lieutenant Verona wanted to speak with her."

" Roger that. I'll continue on assisting with the search and rescue efforts then. " As he walked out the door to continue his work and glad Kaylee had someone who didn't require medical attention.

Mirae pushed herself out from under the console, bits of broken chips scraping along with her as she moved. "Go see the head of security, with an escort? And I'm not in trouble?"

The Orion woman snickered. "Pull the other one fleeter." Mirae stood up and wiped her hands on her coveralls before motioning to the blonde terran. "Lead the way distinguished escort."

Kaylee just chuckled. "Sher'ra had asked me to come get you. Which is why I came." giving a shrug. "I've not seen you cause any trouble anyway."

"Yet." Mirae said with a smirk as she followed Kaylee

When the two ladies arrived, Kaylee reported. "She's here!"

"Ah Ms Mirae. I have an offer for you. I need people for some simple tasks and my entire staff is currently occupied with securing this station and ensuring any injured are seen to. I see you are currently on probation. Work for me, and I'll clear your debt to us." Sher'ra offered to the Orion in front of her.

Billy looked over, his forehead creased as his brows raised at the offer from the Chief. He rubbed his bald head, the movement of his hand almost as if pushing it through the hair he may have once had as his polished head shone in the light. "Almost an offer to die for." he jibed with a smirk.

"Just Mirae." She stated. Listening to the offer, she bit her lower lip. A chance to work off he debt now? Just as she was about to respond, her attention was grabbed by the comment from the bald man. "I have no intention of dying." Her eyes slowly turned back to Sher'ra.

"What's the catch?" Mirae crossed her arms over her chest. She wanted an opportunity, but she also had a healthy amount of distrust in her.

“Catch is you’ll be doing all of the menial tasks so I can free up more of my people. Paperwork, checking out stock of supplies, packing emergency kits, basically all the grunt work that we usually do on a daily basis and you’ll be doing it until things return to normal. How does that sound?”

Mirae paused for only a moment before nodding. "I'm in." She motioned to the coveralls she was wearing. "Do I finally get some decent clothes?"

'I don't see why you shouldn't be able to have good clothing, and Lieutenant Verona, do you think she needs to be wearing that ankle bracelet? Especially given the fact we are no longer in our own time? " Kaylee queried the chief of security.

After giving it some thought, Sher’ra tapped a few controls and the ankle bracelet deactivated, “consider this a show of trust. If you betray your word, I will hunt you down. Understood?”

Kaylee looked at Sher'ra, then at Mirae. "I don't think that she'll be running, I've got confidence that she won't." giving an encouraging smile.

Mirae shrugged. "If anything, I'll stick around too long and end up getting shot and put in shackles." She sighed at her own circumstances and the ones that got her there. "When and where do I start boss?"

"I can make a suggestion as per her question." Kaylee looking at Sher'ra. "We can get her outfitted right now. And she can start right away. Shall we?" looking at those who were there.

Billy smirked at the youthful exuberance of those he shared his working life with. He chose not to say much at the moment.
