Mission: Episode 6 - Point Of Enlightenment
Location: Commander Carters Quarters

On:

Carter was sat dozing in her quarters. It had been hard work recovering from the quartine but life onboard the station was slowly returning to normal.

The silence and tranquillity of the moment was pierced when the door chime sounded, its shrill mechanical chirp cutting through the room like a knife.

The door chime awoke Carter with a start. She stood up and stretched before calling out. “Come in.”

The lean Betazoid came through the open door, its metallic hiss sounding behind him once he had entered, the doors closing with a click. This was the first time he had been in her quarters he realised.
"Commander... Have I come at a bad time!" noticing her still sleepy expression.

“Commodore…. No it’s quite alright.” She replied bringing herself to attention, trying to shake off that sleepy feeling.

“Is there something I can do for you Sir?”

"Actually there is" he moved a little closer, making to sit down near her. "I'm sure you are aware of the recent changes in the command structure on the station and I just wanted to assure you that your position is secure but we may need you from time to time to step in with command of the station!"

Lillian sat down next to him, suddenly very alert and concerned. "Sir? I wasn't aware of my position being insecure. What... What exactly is going on with the changes in the Command structure?"
Something about this was... familiar but Lillian couldn't put her finger on it. But she knew one thing... it wasn't good.

"Captain Holt has accepted a command of her own and Commanders Tobru and Han have gone with her to fill key roles" he didn't mention that they had already taken care of the command of Starbase 308, the major starbase in the region and it was now under their control. Holt would be moving on to other targets post haste.

Keiben looked at Carter directly in the eyes, already feeling the movement of the need to assimilate her into their hive. To that end he had brought a friend with him, he could feel it starting to stir in the pouch it had burrowed in his throat, it was starting to move, making his throat undulate and pulse in a very abhorrent manner. It was a gentle, barely noticeable movement to start with but it was growing in intensity.

"I do have something for you though!" he smiled, the undulation moving up his throat making his eyes roll back in his head, his eye lids still open leaving nothing but the whites of his eyes showing, a contorted smile pulling at his lips as two large pinkish talons began to appear from his mouth... Not talons, it was like a pincer, some form of insect.

No more words came but his movements were lightning fast as he gripped her arms in a vice like grip.

Lillian winced as he grabbed her arms and she found herself unable to move. "Comador what...." her voice trialled off as she saw what was coming out of his mouth. She recognised what it was from the reports from Starfleet Command and the crew of the Enterprise. She froze in absolute terror but she refused to scream or show any other sign of weakness.

She shut her eyes and braced for what she knew was coming, and was powerless to stop.

Keiben, or what was masquerading in Keiben's body leaned into Carter, as if to kiss her but lacking all of the intimacy, the pink insect like being with large pincers at the front of its heavily exo-skeleton plated body pushed away from its temporary home, using the pincers to force apart Carters tightly closed mouth, unable to be bitten due to the armour.

Cater's body went rigid as every muscle spasmed. It then went limp.

Her eyes shot open and she drew a huge, ragged breath. She moaned as she stood, somewhat unsteadily at first, then started inspecting herself. When she spoke her voice was odly flat and lifeless.

"Strange creatures these humans. All.... flesh and hair and...." she paused as she caught sight of herself in a mirror. She looked at the image with cold disdain.

"First time I've been in a female. This one feels.... Unusual." She then caught sight of Keiben. "How do you deal with the smell?" She asked as she went back to scrutinising the image in the mirror.

"You become accustomed to it. Some of the sensations can be quite pleasurable."
Keiben was straightening his uniform as he stood to look into the same mirror but over Carter's shoulder. "Your husk is considered quite attractive by the bipedal standards".

Cater looked at him sceptically "Really?" She continued to look at herself, she noticed how close he was to her now.
"A most curious sensation. This husk seems to be responding physically to your husk's proximity. I believe we should gather more information on how these husks respond to these physical and chemical stimuli. It could be vital in learning how to control this species."

She turned to face him. "Tell me... Dose your husk respond to...." And suddenly without warning, she removed the casual wear Carter had been wearing, presenting him with her now naked body.

" .....This?"

"Indeed but he resists. He has a close intimate relationship with that filthy Trill Doctor... She may be a problem that we will need to eliminate!"
Keiben, or what was posing as Keiben said resisting the humanoid urge to mate with this female. "This Symbiont could have prior knowledge of us given our species have crossed paths before!"

She stared at him for a moment as if he had gone insane which slowly changed to a look of disbelief and disgust.

“Intimate relationship!” She sneered as if it was a profanity. “Such a human weakness. No wonder we were able to control them so easily.”

She turned her concentration inward. Although the finer details of this husks mind were closed off, it could still gleam general knowledge from it.

“Ahh yes, just as I suspected. These humans waste their times on such lies. Mating is a function. A means to an end, the continuation and propagation of a species. They pass up valuable opportunities. Your husk is considered one of their warriors no? And you said they considered this husk attractive. Then why not breed with it to produce offspring to ensure the continued existence of your genetic material?”

She took a step closer to him. “You’re not…. Concerned with the feelings of your husk are you? The queen would be shocked to hear of such weakness.” She grabbed hold of his wrist tightly, the extra adrenaline in her system boosting her strength.

“I think you have been in your husk too long, you’re starting to think like they do.” She said in a low voice, a challenging look in her eyes.

"To effect a take over we have to appear to be them... Don't forget that or what happened to the last Queen that attempted this with these Federation beings. I..." he paused for a moment reconsidering his words. "We need to remain hidden, for now which means I will lead our people to the complete take over of this region of space."

Despite the force with which he held her, she still locked eyes with him, defiant.

She moved closer. She spoke in a quiet voice but her words were like steel.

"Oh you're in charge, are you? Prove it!"

Her hands were trailing down his body eliciting the mammalian response within his hosts biological system. The rush of endorphins released within his body was a heady experience, not an unpleasant one, one that he finally allowed himself to experience.
