ON

His temperature was up, as if his blood was boiling and the capillaries around his cheeks seemed inflamed, each one visible. An almost constant nose bleed had developed as well along with a cough. The romantic evening that Amalia had planned had quickly fallen into ruin the night before as L'johK had decided to go to bed early but upon waking... even he as part Klingon could not object to the fact that he was sick.

The large double doors slipped open as Amalia half supported, half carried the larger burly young man into the infirmary.
"Doc... I don't feel so good!"

Mel and one of her nurses ran out. "Test for the blood burn."

"Yes doctor,"

Mel knew it was it though the telltale signs were there.

"How long has he been like this?"

A worried and weary looking Amalia, replied "He was so tired last night and worn out from where ever he had gone, we just went to pick up some food, took it home, he was too tired to eat, only had something to drink then just went to sleep." Amalia verbally going over a list of what happened. "I woke up with him like this, but we went to bed early. Um maybe twelve hours?" Amalia replied. "and Blood burn? What is that?"

As Melanie tended to the Klingon, Sekat -wearing full hazmat for his own protection - approached Amalia. "In its original from a very fast spreading and very lethal haemorrhagic disease," he answered, "this version seems to hit Vulcanoids harder but spreads slower among those not if copper-based blood. According to current observation. Please take a seat and we will examine you as well."

L'johk was led away to the main surgical bay bed by two of the med tecs. He was feeling week and he could feel the capillaries along the surface of his skin expanding, burning and in some cases could also feel the trickle of warm blood as they started to rupture.
"Just give me a shot Doc and I'll go back home to bed. I'll be fine!"

Amalia looked towards where L'johk was led. "Please help him, there has to be a way. I- I don't want to lose him." she responded quietly. Feeling a bubble of concern well up inside her stomach.

"We will do the best we can," Sekat promised as he led her to a bed close by so she could still see him. "You can probably stay with him as you need to be quarantined as well. I do recommend protective gear but as you already have been in contact I think gloves and a mask may be sufficient." He glanced over at Melanie, casting her a worried look once he got her attention. "What are the odds of inter-species mutation?" He queried carefully. It had been designed to affect Vulcans, he had learned. It was the very reason he was wearing a full hazmat suit.

Amalia nodded taking a seat, "He and I already touched, had kissed I don't know if wearing gloves or a mask will help keep me from the disease as I have been exposed. Unless you are worried that it can be spread just from a cough or even a touch, to others then I will wear a mask. Its too late though to keep me from being exposed. And I maybe wanting to have him see my face. Just in...." her eyes went round, and she finished her thought in her own mind. Oh don't die, please don't die L'johk. I just don't want,if it does happen, your last memory of seeing me with a mask over my mouth and you not seeing me. she gave a little bit of a shudder, at that thought.

"Very high. And I agree full hazmat while working going forward. It doesn't seem to be affecting me," she mused.

"You are part T'Kon now. Its too de-evolved to affect you,"

Mel turned round stunned.

"Why are you here?" she asked the T'Kon delegate.

"I have a headache but as I am here, i will offer assistance,"

That was something, Mel mused. None of them had offered any help or information thus far.

She nodded. "Ok we need to run some tests on your DNA."

She suspected it was too complex to get any answers any time soon but it was a start.

Amalia was listening to the dialog between the two women. She also shuddered slightly, the mention of the T'Kon, brought back her memories of that damned planet they had gone to, where the awful greeblies were at and them taking on the DNA of others.

On the main biobed L'johK writhed in pain suddenly, his skin slick with the blood seeping from his capillaries, he tried to scream in pain but all that could be heard was a gurgling as the blood started to fill is throat as darkness started to shroud his vision... Sto'vo'kor awaited.
