Mission: Episode 6 - Point Of Enlightenment
Location: Aristaeus Colony

ON:

Kaylee had woken up, stretching her arms above her head and smiling. She was on a planet, at the Aristaeus Colony where Liam was working hard to make it come alive. She sighed in contentment, just seeing the first rays of the sun, peeping through the curtains. Another thing that caused her to smile even more, was waking up next to her beloved husband, Liam.

Gazing at her very handsome husband just admiring his physique she finally couldn't resist an urge she had. Kaylee leaned in to give Liam a kiss upon his shoulder, then snuggled up against him.

"You know," Liam said returning the kiss with one on her forehead. "I'm getting used to this waking up by the sunlight snuggled up to you. Coffee?" he asked his wife.

"I am so glad I've transferred down here, it gets too cold at night without you." Kaylee remarked as she watched him.

Getting up he noticed a blinking on the viewscreen in their room. "Kaylee there's a message."

"Oh okay, I wonder who the message is from?" Kaylee getting out of the bed and making her way to where Liam was at. She reached over and opened up the message and then her eyes went wide. For there was her mother, her father and, her aunts on her father's side. All staring at her and Liam in all their natural glory.

"Hello Kaylee" her mother began.

Her aunts eyes immediately zeroed in on Liam. "Well hello there." said Aunt Mirella and Aunt Allesia in stereo

"My, isn't he a handsome one" Aunt Rosetta remarked.

Kaylee's father just looked at his sister and did a mental face palm.

"Thank you," Liam said with a smile as if it was nothing.

He carried on making the coffee handing a cup to Kaylee. Kissing her on the cheek allowing for a gaze at his other side during, he said telepathically,

~Your dads got a vein in his chin that's throbbing. Shall I go get us some clothes?~

~Yes please, my aunts can't take their eyes off of you.~ Kaylee giving a silent giggle. ~I am so glad my uncles are not there. That would be rather embarrassing.~

"We'll be back, we're going to get something on. " Kaylee sweetly said.

"Aww but why?" Aunt Rosetta pouted.

"I'll just contact you back in a few minutes" as Kaylee's father switched off the screen.

Liam tried not to laugh but failed terribly. "Its a good job your not a jealous woman," he teased. He grabbed a tank top, pulling it over his head.

Kaylee stuck her tongue out at her husband, as she pulled on her underwear a tee shirt, then a pair of shorts. "I know you won't go after either of them." she laughed "Poor dad though, I thought he was going to have a stroke. Mom was amused though. My aunts are not above looking" she giggled, then pulled Liam in for a smouldering kiss.

Liam returned the kiss, then pulled away begrudgingly and said "I'll put full length joggers on then. Not shorts like you. The less skin the better ehh," he chuckled as they headed back. He took a sip of his coffee while the comm. reconnected.

When the comm reconnected, this time it was only Richard and Narrea Serra Kaylee's parents.

Kaylee giggled, "Where are Aunt Allessia, Mirella, Rosetta?" she asked slightly teasing.

"They have been sent off to do an errand with your uncles." Richard responded, "Rosetta was rather disappointed not being able to talk with you two. Especially, you." trying to keep a straight face when looking at Liam.

Narrea gave a laugh, "Rosetta was literally put over your Uncle Lucien's shoulder like he was kidnapping her, and carried off."

Kaylee laughed, then she stopped abruptly, "What brings on this contact?"

"Well dear we've been missing you and we would like to come visit you." Narrea's eyes turning towards Liam. "That is if that is alright."

"I think I can make it happen," Liam said. "Its still early days in the colony so its pretty basic presently but you would of course be most welcome Narrea."

Narrea gave a smile. "I am certainly glad that you two found each other. I am looking forward to coming to see the colony you've been creating. I do also plan on just the immediate family coming to see you as in, not the aunts, unless you would like them to be following you all around like annoying shadows?"

Richard gave a sharp glance at his wife and was vehemently shaking his head. "I would rather they don't come with us this time, I would have to assign a personal bodyguard for Liam here."

"Dad, I am his personal bodyguard, and I am certain I can keep him safe. Well if he needs it, that is." Kaylee giving a giggle.

Liam chuckled. "When can we expect you?"

"Would two days be too quick for us to get there?' Narrea answered. "We can take the fastest ship to get to where you are at, unless you want us to stop at the station first? Oh and is there anything you'd like us to bring along?"

"If you want to stop at the station its up to you," Liam said. "Its really coming on. I can recommend lunch at my cousins bar?" he smiled.

"In fact if you do drop in tell Niska Liam sent you and to give you some of that cake she makes we both love," he grinned at Kaylee. It was cheeky he knew but boy could Niska bake.

Narrea caught on and gave a silvery laugh. "I'd be glad to do so. And lunch there sounds lovely. Will be seeing you in a couple of days." she looked at Kaylee and smiled. "Would you like us to bring some plants from the estate like some grapes or some small trees?"

Liam looked at Kaylee excitably. We could start a Aristaeus Colony vineyard

"Oh yes Mama, we would love some plants from the estate. Am really excited about that, and as you can plainly so is Liam." Kaylee giving a huge smile. "Well, I am looking forward to seeing you and Daddy. See you soon!" Kaylee blowing a kiss at her mom and dad. When the screen went blank Kaylee looked at Liam.

"I am very excited, and oh my gosh as you said, Aristaeus Colony Vineyard. And i get to get grubby and dirty. Which means, bath and..." Kaylee stopped there and just grinned at Liam.

"Also we might make our fortune. I mean who are we up against? Chateau de Picard?" he joked at her.

"Well we'll have the market cornered here once we get the vineyard up and running. For now, we can bring in wines from our respective homes?" Kaylee giving a winsome smile, and fluttering her eyelashes at Liam. "Now though we've got preparations to make." now definitely exhibiting excitement.

"Yes, I shall go sort out some quarters for your family. And Jack," Liam said.

"Oh yes, Patton!" Kaylee's mind was also on the upcoming arrival of Liam's son. "I am a little bit worried though. Your son, I do not know how things will be. We will be able to work out things together. It might be a challenge, as there will be adjustments to be made, getting to know your son. Him getting to know you, us." her eyebrows raised, "We can do this though I know we can."

"Its not just that," Liam said. "We do not know how badly he has been scarred losing his mother and living in that hellhole of a universe. If they did anything to him like they did me, he is going to need professional support for a long time."

Kaylee nodded slowly, "With your connections to the Counseling world. I am certain that there will be someone who can help out there, besides you. As we will be needing counseling, family counseling in order to be able to help him out. Its going to be a long run but worth it. And I am hoping that they haven't done anything to him like what they did to you."

"How do you think explaining Cade to your parents will go down? Should we prepare them this visit? Or when/ If Jack gets him to us?" Liam asked. It was one thing to talk about family counselling but it was a hell of task Jack had on even locating his boy.

"Well, we may have to prep them for this. Not everyone knows about alternate universes, so, would be best for the preparation talk. Not everyone is privvy to what is out there in space or what we all might face in working as part of the Federation. There are a lot of people who have no clue and always best for them to not know. Otherwise it might cause them to go insane. Though, I do not think Mom and Dad will drop over in a faint when we tell them what is going on." Kaylee said running her hand along Liam's shoulder, then giving it a squeeze for comfort.

"I don't like the idea of not being fully transparent with your family," Liam said after a moment thinking about it. "I mean they are not going to use that knowledge for anything insidious. But if they want a potential relationship with our potential son. They need the facts. I wouldn't want to throw them into anything either."

"I highly agree so yes lets tell them, get them prepared. And make certain my aunts are not around when we do." Kaylee flashing an impish grin. "I don't want them to look at you even more closely than what they already have done."

"Wasn't one of their husbands on that call too," Liam asked. "I'm taking it as a compliment," he grinned. It was a nice confidence boost certainly. "You know I only have eyes for you,"

"Yes he was, thankfully I've not heard anything from him." Kaylee chuckled. " And I only have eyes for you as well. Its just.. that look my aunt had, was almost like the look you have when seeing a kimden roll. I wanted to say 'sorry this is my yummy not your yummy' " Kaylee giving a giggle.

"Yes well if its my face when I have a kimden roll I could be in serious trouble. If your aunts visit your to stick with me like glue," Liam said.

"I will definitely make certain to do that." Kaylee giving a firm nod. "Plus I don't think that mum will let her get anywhere too close. Mama would get a bit physical with them and not in a nice way." Kaylee giving a little bit of a wince. She had seen a result of her mother getting a bit angry at someone overstepping the boundaries.

"Really?" Liam said. "Is your mum betaziod or dad again? Its not often you hear of physical punishment from a betaziod. Human yes. My grandad was well know to give you a clap round the ear if you misbehaved."

"Mum is half betazed, and she can actually have a temper. She normally keeps well under control and is a chill person. But some was a rather ill mannered and she let them have it. No one is allowed to touch a child in a harmful way and she let the person have it. Dad was so proud of her, as she knocked the person out. Guess you've got someone who has feisty on both sides." Kaylee giving a grin.

"Quite," Liam said. "Lets hope my mum and your mum never go head to head."

"If that happens do we have a... safehouese we can hide in?" giving a giggle. "I think though that they can get along. Oh.. heaven help anyone who gets both of them angry and them teaming up. The universe will not be the same." her eyes growing wide. I am sure it will make Klingon quake in his boots or maybe get a bit excited." grinning.

"Mother has already got both of those under her boots," Liam said and shuddered as he transmitted his wife some memories. "Right I need to research something. We will have to claim asylum for Cade." He pulled her towards him once more and kissed her. "I love you and I will see you later my darling."

Another kiss for Liam, "Yes that would be a good thing." a ping sounded on her padd, she picking it up. "It looks like I am needed on the station. Good thing I have the second shift instead of the first shift. I'll see you later love." Kaylee giving a wave to her husband then raced off to get ready for work.

Liam nodded watching her disappear into their bedroom before saying out loud, “computer.”.
