Amalia had sometime to herself, Engineering was actually running rather well, for once and she decided to take advantage of it. L'johk Adams she'd not seen him in awhile maybe only glimpses and a wave or two. They had been kept hopping due to the damage that had been caused by the trip back in the past and then the return trip. Amalia remembered how dizzy she felt when those two events happened. And then there was the trip down to the colony on the planet below the station.

She had been working with a team to prepare for the eventual arrival of colonists. That there made it to where she'd not seen L'johk much either. She hoped that he was alright, hoped that they could get some time together just to well, be together. For now, life goes on and Amalia had a surprise she was working on for L'johk. He was half Klingon and she wanted to delve in that side of him and now she was in an immersion course for Klingon culture.

First part was Klingon Cuisine, there was quite the selection from what she found, Bregit lung,Gagh,Gladst,Grapok sauce, Krada leg, Mollusk,O'mat Gri T'M pffiots, Pipius claw,Racht,Rokeg blood pie,Targ, Heart of targ, Zilm'kach.

There were some she liked, others she wasn't certain of. They weren't too bad, but for her having a palate of a human, it would take some getting used to and finding a liking for the flavors. She did have some strange looks at first when she approached someone who knew how to prepare the foods and gain access to them as well. It takes a Klingon to procure the actual food.

Her Klingon Mentor, K'atross Sartras a Klingon female had agreed to become her mentor when she found that Amalia was interested in the culture and also had interest in a certain L'johk. This acquaintance had come about during a bar room brawl that both of them had gotten involved in. They were in different areas of the bar, when the fight broke out.

They ended up back to back as the brawl progressed, K'atross had blocked a shot coming for Amalia and Amalia had returned the favor when someone tried to pull a knife. All said and done, Amalia and K'atross ended up talking with each other over a pint of Bloodwine, at another establishment.

That resulted in the cuisine aspect of Klingon life, then to the drinks that the Klingon race drank. She still had a few to try out. All in due time.

Amalia then was taken by K'atross to where she could get outfitted in Klingon styles of clothing and armor. The next part was Amalia's acquistion of a bat'leth, mek'leth, d'ktagh to name a few. She was rather impressed by the designs of the weapons, and certainly wanted to learn how to use them. And K'atross started training her.

In between her duties with the computers and other engineering projects, Amalia practiced. K'atross had to leave as she had been called away but she gave Amalia some final words.

" You have the heart of a Klingon for your size, may you succeed in the path you are traveling. Qapla. I will return some day to see if you have improved." A toothy grin and the tall Klingon woman turned to go on her way.

"Qapla!" Amalia had responded in turn.

She watched as K'atross departed then turned to go back to her duties. Later on, Amalia went to the holodeck to proceed with her own training program, to add to her agility, her fighting skills, along with her lessons in the Klingon language. She wished to surprise L'johk and have a date, one that had the elements reflecting his Klingon side. Amalia will have a message waiting for L'johk along with an invitation and a present.

All that will be revealed when she implements things. Just have to wait until he is back from where ever he is. In the mean time she had a fight to commence, songs to learn. All in the name of learning the Klingon way.
