Mission: Episode 2 - Echoes Of An Empire
Location: Chief Engineer Quarters

Jon hit the door button to his quarters. The door opened to a rather nice room. For a ship the size of this, the fact that he had his own room was a plus, as well as that he wasn't a full officer, only by the grace of being the Chief Engineer did he get his own room. He had sent for his things to be brought over and all of it was placed in the middle of the room in shipping boxes.

"Lights", the room brightened, the spartan grey furniture looked neatly placed and tidy. Jon waked in and threw his coat over the back of a chair. It had been a long shift and he was ready to wind down. This was going to be the last of the sixteen hour shifts he was pulling to get the bird to fly again. All told his team had performed marvelously in getting it all back together.

"Computer, has my replicator programs been brought over to the ship yet?" The engineer moved towards the replicator.

"Affirmative."

"Stoun menu item Alpha" The replicator whirred, and a large cheeseburger appeared on the place with a side of macaroni and cheese. He took the meal and sat on one of the couches. "Computer, turn on FNS" He lounged as the screen on the wall turned on, two beautiful looking Andorians appeared on the screen.

"Now, that is one hatch that I wouldn't want to get stuck in!" The Andorians chuckled to each other. "Next on Fleet News, we'll have Galok, head chef of the prestigious Four Moons of Klaxnon restaurant tell us the proper way to intimidate your Gagh before serving it."

"First! You must insult the Gagh's blood line and heritage." The screen cut to a Klingon staring at the camera and then back to a bowl full of worms. "YOUR FAMILY LINE WOULD NOT EVEN BE FIT FOR THE INTESTINAL TRACT OF A TARG!"

Jon bit into a spoon full of the macaroni, the warmth of the dish felt good, as he mindlessly watched the Klingon yell and slap the worms in the bowl.

"Computer, display warp core telemetry next to the Klingon" Numbers, and pulse flow information came up as the Klingon grabbed one of the worms by the head and pretended to slap it.

The room was comfy, but he was beat, he grabbed the burger and took a big bite into it.

"NOW! The Gagh has been sufficiently humiliated, it allows the juices of fear to flood into its body, making the flesh that more succulent and sweet. You can also take a dash of blood wine and force it down the worms throat!" The "chef" took a small carafe of wine, opened the worms mouth and poured in a gulp of it.

The show started to fade out as the engineers eye lids drooped, he was beat. He put the half eaten burger on the small coffee table, stood up, then headed towards the bedroom.

"Computer, set an alarm for O Seven Hundred" He crashed on the bed, and stretched out, kicking his boots off, which landed in the hallway with a thud.

Before he could even turn the screen off, his eyes closed, and everything faded to black.
