To the station!

Mission: Episode 3 - Fear Is Fear Itself

ON

Over the ship communications came the announcement that was enough to turn anyone's blood cold and a chill in bones. "All hands, abandon ship. I repeat all hands abandon ship!"

Agapov's head jerked up when she heard this announcement and quickly raced to get her siblings. "Damyan, Luiza we need to go!"

"What's happening, I'm scared!" Luiza gasped out, grabbing hold of Agapov.

"Lets get going."Damyan said with a gruff voice being careful not to show the fear he was feeling himself.

"Don't know but we need to go!" Agapov grabbing several items and then dragging her siblings out of their quarters. After they grabbed something of theirs.

Agapov made it to where they needed to be, she saw Junjie there directing the evacuation. "Sir, what is going on?"

Just then Lothian came running up, "Okay let's get people into the escape pods, I've been working on rounding up everybody!"

Junjie nodded at Shailyn. "Great, Thanks for the help." He smiled at her. " Get your siblings into the pod and we'll make sure everyone else is in they're pods safely, we'll be the last pod to launch though." Junjie pulled out his tricorder and started scanning for any life signs on the ship other then the ones in the life pods, Satisfied he turned to the life pod. " Ah, Mr. Teach your here. I need about fifteen minutes to take care of a task before we leave. I have to download the ships logs and data into a warp probe and send it back towards the sol system with a distress beacon, we might have to wait for rescue. If anything happens and the ship loses integrity you are to get this group of people to safety, that's an order. "

Teach looked at him and nodded grimly. " Yes Sir, if that's what you want. And Sir, good luck and we hope to see you soon.

Junjie sprinted down the hall to were a science station was and began the work. He downloaded the ships logs and data along with the ships events and location. He programmed the probe to go to warp after it cleared the nebula using the gravitational force of the launcher and the built in thrusters of the probe to clear the nebula. He sprinted back to the life pod and did one more scan before getting in. He patted the wall near the entrance and glanced about. " Don't worry girl, We'll be back for you. " He said softly as he got into the pod. "Alright let's button this thing up and catch up with everyone else"

Junjie sat back and strapped himself in and hoped that Tam was alright and hoped he would see her again. " Ok, if anyone has any questions now is the time to ask them. "

"I don't have any, just lets get to the station." Agapov stated, then braced herself as the pod was shot out from the Copernicus. "Um who is guiding this thing?" she asked.

" It's a standard federation life pod. In case there is no pilot, the auto pilot can be engaged, the computer will then analyze the surrounding area and set course to the safest area nearby. " The thrusters kicked in and moved the pod in the direction of the safe area. Junjie looked out the window. " And that would appear to be the space station over there. " When we get there we will take all the survival supplies and the four type two hand phasers with us, and we have no idea what is waiting for us over there. "

Agapov nodded, "Okay um there are some guidance there so we won't crash into anything. "

As it was, she watched as the station drew near, and nearer then there was the distinct feel of being pulled in by something, a hatch opening and the pod disappeared from space into a bay beyond the door hatch.

"Check to see if the air is safe for us to go out there maybe?" Agapov remarked.

Junjie gave a reassuring smile. " Yes there is a built in guidance system and the sensors readings on the air is it is safe and breathable. I am also detecting the other pods in different areas in the station, so we'll have to make our way and meet up with them. Nor am I detecting anything as of yet that could be a danger to us. Let's gather the gear and meet with the others of the Copernicus, shall we? "

"It depends on where they end up landing, they may not arrive at the same point but hey worth the effort though." Agapov stated.

Lothian looked at Teach. "Hey lets go check it out before the rest get out of the escape pod okay?"

Edward looked up and grinned. " Not a problem matey, let's just watch our backs while we take a quick look about. Not telling what may be out there, first they shoot at us and then they stop. Makes me wonder why. "

Lothian could only shrug, "It might be up to us to find out. Then again, I am thinking that the air is breathable and how about we just get out of this escape pod and out of the bay, just in case the thing is opened on accident and we get sucked out into space."

The Agapov siblings looked really worried at that."Um lets definitely get out of here!" Agapov nodded. "Sounds like a plan to me" she said to her siblings.

Junjie Broke out his Tricorder and scanned the area and then looked up to Teach and Lothian. " Mister Teach and Miss Lothian. Scout the landing bay here and see if the area is safe and if there is an exit that we can access. Report by combadge as soon as you have the results and I will bringe the rest of the group to your location. "

He opened a panel and broke out the four type 2 hand phasers. He kept one for himself and issued the remainder to Teach, Lothian and Agapov. As well as issued survival items to to all in the life pod. " You have your orders, get going. And be safe. " he added.

" Aye Sir!! " Teach responded. As he adjusted his gear and strapped his phaser and cutless to his belt. Once out of earshot of the life pod, Teach placed his hand on Lothian's shoulder and spoke softly. " Matey, I got a bad feeling in me bones. Something ain't right here and I don't like it one bit. Keep on your toes. That and we have civilian children to keep an eye on to boot. We're going to be busy Lass and that's a fact. "

"Well I do see an exit right over there and let's see if it can be opened." Lothian said heading in that direction. She reached towards the panel and then shimmered out of the area, in a definite transporter effect.

"Where did she go?" Agapov exclaimed.

" What The Bloody Hell!!?? " Exclaimed Teach. He tapped his combadge. " Lieutenant Han, We got a problem Sir! Petty Officer Lothian has been transported away somewhere, Whereabouts unknown. I've been able to open the exit out of here into a hallway. "

Junjie responded. " Alright Mr. Teach, Stay put and we'll be right there. " He turned to the others. " Alright let's get moving."

Agapov nodded, and ushered her siblings out of the escape pod and towards the opening that Teach had made. "Come on, lets hurry." her siblings not hesitating for one moment and racing towards the door to get out of what they felt was dangerous.

Junjie checked his tricorder once he got into the hallway.. " Ok, I don't detect anything that could be dangerous at this time. There are some vague Humanoid readings to our left and at a distance. Something is interfering with the scan. " He looked at the two of the younger Agapov siblings. " I know your not Starfleet, But I'm going to ask for your help. I need you to stay alert and calm, If you see something let me know. But not to loudly ,it may be friendly or hostile, we won't know until we can observe it. Can you do that for me? "

Junjie's thoughts turned briefly to the rest of the crew as he said a quick prayer that they were all well and that they would be reunited soon. His mind quickly back to the present and the matter at hand.

The siblings who were 14 nodded, the boy, Damyan asked. "So I get to hold a phaser right? I'm 14 and I do know how to use it."

Luiza piped up, "yes he does know how to use one he had been shown how to use is by.. dad..." it looked like she was about to cry when Damyan said. "Not now Luiza."

Junjie Looked at the siblings. " Mr. Agapov, I thank you for being concerned and wanting to help. But as for the phasers, I have one, Mr. Teach has one, Your sister has one and the fourth and final one was with Petty Officer Lothian who was beamed away somewhere. If we find some more weapons somewhere and we have to fight, and I pray the gods we don't have to. And that's only if there is no other option, I will not willingly put you or your sister in harms way, and will do everything to protect everyone in this group. "

Junjie turned his attention to Luiza. " Miss Agapov. It's ok to miss your parents, I know it's still painful to you and that you really miss them. I won't tell you that it's wrong to want to cry, because it isn't. There is someone who is really special to me and if something were to happen to her......" He let his words trail off. " We might be in danger at this time, I don't know for certain. But any noise might give us away to whoever is behind this, So I need you to be brave right now and when we get back to the ship we can all have a good cry, Ok? "

Junjie slowly exhaled. " Ok we had some weak humanoid readings off to our left. We'll make our way over there slowly and quietly. Let's move out."

Edward responded. " Aye Sir!! I'll bring up the rear and keep a watch behind us. "

" Good thinking Mr. Teach. Petty Officer Agapov, fall in behind me and your siblings behind you. I'll take point. If you have to say something whisper it." As he began making his way down the hall to where he last detected some life signs.

"Sounds good, Lieutenant Han" making her way into position. Damyan was disappointed in not being able to have a phaser but well guess it was just for the grown ups to decide.

Junjie stopped about every thirty meters and did a quick scan and looked around. After about three times of doing such, he fell back and whispered to where the group could barely hear him. " Mister Teach, Petty officer Agapov. Do you feel like we're being watched? The hackles on my neck are on end, Do you feel it to? Or is it just me? "

Teach whispered back. " I don't know about the being watched part Sir. But I do know that something doesn't feel right , not by a long shot Sir. We better watch our backs." Teach looked over his shoulder, he wasn't sure but he thought he saw some movement in the shadows. He did a quick scan and detected no life signs and lowered his tricorder and shook his head. " There's a storm a brewin. " He said softly under his breath as his hand hovered near his phaser.

Agapov looked at those she was with. "Okay well we're out of the shuttle bay and I'm closing the door." and the door was closed and she then went to catch up with the others.
