Mission: Episode 5 - Objects In Motion
Location: Station Operations
Timeline: Mission Day 5 @ 1500 Hours

The Trill science officer has said his goodbyes to his friends quietly but now he had to formally let his direct commanding officer know what was happening. He had not had much direct interaction with Lieutenant Han but what he had witnessed and seen of the man was someone of immense honour and respect. This was a man that Iy'dan and a great number of the previous hosts would agree could have been a great friend if circumstances been different.

The turbolift car came to a holt and he stepped through to find Junjie immersed in his work and equally the ranking officer in Ops. The man seemed to be the go to officer to run Operations now with Commodore Haistro and Commander Holts time being pulled left and right. Iy'dan could easily see the man sporting another pip before long if he kept this up.
"Lieutenant, I'm sorry to interrupt your work but may I have a moment?"

Junjie looked up with a start for a moment and then smiled. " But of course, what can I do for you today? Do we have some more experiments to run or are we short on supplies again? Either way it's good to see you. "

"Nothing quite as mundae I'm afraid... I need to inform you of a reassignment. Commodore Dazad has offered me a position over at Starbase 12 as Director of Science Services with a view to take over the first officer role in a few months." Iy'dan offered Junjie a forlorn smile of apology. "It's an opportunity I can't pass up sir!"

Junjie had a look of surprise on his face that was replaced by a slow spreading smile. " Congrats Iy'dan!! Your a fine scientist and you deserve this promotion and assignment. You would be a fool not to take this assignment. You'll be missed by everyone in our department, And I'm sorry we didn't have the time to get to know each other better. But we spent a lot of time repairing the station and trying to get back to our own time and trying to figure out T'kon devices and a thousand other things all at once. you'll always be welcome here and if you ever need any help we're just a call away. " junjie said with a warm smile. " So when do you ship out? " Junjie asked.

"In the next few days... Commodore Dazad has already sent my transfer orders to Commodore Haistro... I just didn't feel right not coming to tell you in person!"
Thankful that Junjie had reacted as positively as he had.

" Director of Science at Starbase 12 and You'll be a first officer in a few months? You've got a good career path ahead of you. Both of us are still young and seem to be moving up the ranks at a fair pace, perhaps we'll both serve on the federation science council one day. Or at least we can dream." Said Junjie with a light hearted laugh. His look became more somber. " But honestly I'm going to miss seeing you in the lab, You were always there attending to your duties and of course your very reliable. Your a good leader and I have no doubts that you will not only rise to the occasion, but surpass they're expectations of you as well. The Science department on Starbase 12 will soon be in good hands. "

"Thank you sir, and thank you for the opportunity here on Deep Space 21... I have valued my time here, however brief it may have been!"
Iy'dan could feel at least two of her previous hosts starting to swell with emotion, Arjin inparticular.

' Please quit calling me Sir, Iy'dan. We're the same rank and you've just been promoted to be a station science director at Starbase 12. I consider you a friend and a fellow colleague in science, The least you could do is call me Junjie. " He said with a grin.

"Is that your final order as my superior officer... Sir!"
Iy'dan returned the smile as he gently teased the Asian man, someone who he had come to consider a friend.
"It has been a pleasure working with you Junjie!"

" It has truely been a pleasure working with you Iy'dan. But I do have one more order for you, A drink before you leave. I have a bottle of Santori Japanese whiskey in my office, a quick shot before you leave if you have time. I won't send you down the road with a hangover. " said Junjie.

"Of course... This evening?" Iy'dan asked, knowing that tonight would likely be the only time he would have.

" Sounds good. Shall we say 1830 Hours at my quarters? Bring your spouse if you'd like, I think Tam and I could whip up a little something to snack on. "

"I will bring a bottle of vintage Bajoran Spring Wine I have been saving!" Iy'dan added with a smile, already knowing he had a million and one other things to arrange before tonight.
"If you will excuse me sir... My Husband is waiting for me to help him pack my bags!"

" But of course. I shall not delay you any further, We look forward to seeing the both of you at 1830. Stated Junjie. " I know you'll both do well at your new home and job at Star Base 12. We shall see you this evening then. "
