Amalia wiped away the perspiration from her forehead, happy she had her hair pulled back away from her face. It left a streak of dirt upon her brow that she didn't notice. She had just finished changing out isolinear chips of the computers in the library area of the station. She also had to do some cleaning as well, it had been way too long since it had been done. Tapping on her commbadge she contacted L'johk Adams.

"L'johk how are the readings now? Are we still getting glitches or are they clearing up now?" as she waited for his answer, Amalia allowed herself a slight daydream of asking him out on a date, it had been too long, way too long since they've done anything together.

Matter of fact, when was the last time they had the chance to have a drink? Oh wait there was the party they had gone to, celebrating the birthday of one of the engineers. Then there was a quick drink at the bar, but they got called away to different parts of the station for repair work. Then there was that jump back into time, the whole station, which she was really worried about that event tearing the station apart. She blew out a puff of air to dislodge the strand of hair that escaped her hair band and draped down the bridge of her nose.

"There was never any glitches" the voice came from behind her as the sound of the door hissed closed. "I just needed to find a way of getting you alone so I could give you this without trashing my Klingon street cred!" he laughed gently as he wrapped an arm around her waist and kissing the nape of her neck while bringing a single perfect rose around with a ribbon wrapped around it in his other hand. "For you!"

Amalia gave out a bit of small squeal, L'johk had startled her but the rose made up for it. "Wait you did that on purpose?" feeling goosebumps make their way down her back. She turned and kissed him, one hand smoothly accepting the rose, the other pulling him close. "You certainly have rather smooth ways about you." a slightly shy smile appearing.

Boy did Amalia feel like she could just melt to the floor when he was near. "How are you, handsome?"

"Still trying to find my feet after recent events... I'm just sorry I've not had any time to be with you. I want to make up for it. Dinner, tonight on the promenade, maybe take in the concert that's playing in the stations theatre?"
He started to gently rub the grim from her forehead, a playful smile tugging at the corners of his mouth.

Amalia chuckled softly, just feeling blissful being in his arms. "I've not been angry at all, L'johk. I know how things go when it comes to the station. I've been sorry I've not had time either, to be with you." a date? she blinked, "I would love to go, dinner, concert." she was most certainly pleasantly surprised and it showed, "I've got to make certain I have something in my closet fitting to wear besides my work clothing." giving a teasing wink.

Inside though, Amalia was slightly panicking, did she have something in her wardrobe that would be suitable?

"What time do you get off shift?" L'johK asked, finally releasing her from his muscular arms.

"Well sir, it all depends on if my superior officer says my work passes his inspection." giving a playful smile, "Once that is substantiated and he approves of my work. Then I will be off my shift." giving him a teasing nudge.

"Well in that case I had best let you go call on Chief Stoun!" he teased, playfully turning to leave the small compartment.

This caused Amalia to give out a mock angry huff, "Really? You come back here, and check things out." Pulling him back towards her, a twinkle in her eyes.

He saw the twinkle and stepped right up to her again, almost lifting her in his arms to bring her in for another kiss. His Klingon half rolled its eyes, he was acting like a love sick targ. His Human half was enamoured with the feelings that seemed to be swelling, and his Human half was winning out.

After a few moments of kissing, Amalia gave a light laugh. "Now that I have the seal of approval. I am now off shift." making a note of it in her PaDD. Her tricorder also gave a chirp of the diagnostics having been finished as well.

"I can be ready in an hour, with rings on my fingers and bells on my toes." Amalia making a joke and then giving L'johk one more embrace and kiss before releasing him.

Ever since they first met, Amalia thought a lot about L'johk, the thoughts bringing smiles to her. Only allowing the smiles to surface when she was alone. She played it cool though, for she didn't want to well, have anyone quiz her. Not that Amalia was ashamed about L'johk she didn't quite know where this was leading to. She felt the need the desire to keep things under wraps. Just savoring the moments she had with L'johk, it was her treasure and he was someone to be treasured.

"Don't worry you won't have to wait for me." she teased, giving L'johk another playful nudge.
