Holding Harley's arm through his own, Peter walked sedately across the promenade, watching the boys run ahead in excitement. "Today is a good day," he commented lightly as he nodded towards the new shop's opening.

"I am very excited seeing this place come to life," Harley exclaimed, enjoying the scenery. Feeling the boys were running a bit too fast. "Boys slow down, don't run too far ahead of us." giving a fond smile towards them and to her husband. "This seems like a perfect day." leaning her head upon her husband's shoulder as they continued walking.

"Be a yeoman, run errands for the CO. Mum marries him and I still end up running further errands for the CO. Stepdad ... " she muttered. Personal and professional life was blurring a little.

"Hey Mr. Horn, Mrs. Horn," she nodded. "Any idea where I can get the Captain .... oh ...." she looked at the list. "New underpants?"

Eyebrows shot up in surprise as Peter regarded the teenager. "You were sent for undergarments, when he could just replicate them?" he queried, not quite sure he had understood right.

"Unless he is wanting a specific style and handmade, there is a shop not too far from here, with undergarments for those who have sensitive skin. Made of silk or satin." Harley remarked.

"I think hes taking the proverbal," Groused Charlie. "Tighty whities, the tightest I can find it is then."

"It's not really haute cuisine here. The replimat doesn't even have a single Japanese dish." Hiro said as he sat down next to Melinda. "That's one of the things I'm going to change first. Though, with all the other work I have, I guess I'll be doing that in my off duty hours."

Melinda chuckled at his visible frustration. "Or we can make sure we got all the herns and spices we need and we just cook our own," she suggested, reaching to take his hand between hers. "Or just order one of your minions to make sure the replicator caters for all ethnicities and species on this station."

Hiro smiled. "I could do that, as long as I make sure they won't make the Japanese menu a priority over other dishes." He felt the warmth of her hands when she took his hand. "At least I can still enjoy my green tea. The way you prepare it is perfect."

"That's because it's fresh tea," Melinda teased.

The produce stall was open and Jaas'rah was moving between the different customers he had crowding his wares. It was nice to see and this was the first day it felt like he truly was free and independent, even if he was still sore from his run-in with the Cardassian Vole a few days previous. His stall had opened that very morning as the first transport with visitors and new civilian residents had arrived. He took a moment to catch his mate by her arm and kiss her as she passed the stall, his exuberance spilling over at what she and her Federation had given him, finally being won over by them.

"Thank you!"

Grabbing hold of Jaas'rah, Sher'ra dragged him behind his booth and gave him a passionate kiss. After a moment, she pulled back and gave him a smile, "you're welcome lover boy. Now go get 'em"

He playfully slapped her backside as she started to walk away but was soon caught up with the fresh Mopa fruit which had started to roll from its perch on the stall and scatter on the deck.

"Why are you everywhere I turn on this station?" Niska groused as she encountered the grumpy Mirae again. "If it's not you, it's those horrible Voles."

"UGH!" Mirae exclaimed as she put down the crate on a nearby table. "Seriously? What is your problem?! I'm trying to just do my work and all you do is bitch bitch bitch. I'd rather have a vole digging into my eye than hear your shrill voice."

"It can be arranged," Niska said cooly.

Vincent had his arm linked with Iy'dan. He had just gotten done giving his husband a massage as he wanted to try out the new massage therapy table that had arrived. It being situated in a private area. "So love, do you think the table was comfortable enough? What about the decor, peaceful enough?" Vincent had requested Iy'dan to be the first one.

"I could have stayed there a few more hours. The most relaxed I've been in ages! I do have a question though... Why did Commander Holt insist on having that tree brought to the station and then put on the promenade with all these trinkets on it?"

He squeezed his husband's hand gently, still aware Vincent was sporting a couple of bruised ribs from the incident on the promenade a day or so back, something he was not going to let him forget for some time.

"It's a human tradition and well, it is pretty. It is supposed to bring about goodwill and cheerfulness." giving a kiss on the cheek. " And I am glad that you enjoyed the treatment. I had thought of having a small tree like that in our quarters, the question however sort of was sent out of my mind a couple of days ago." with a wry smile. "Would you be willing to have one in our quarters?"

"Am I right in thinking that the Tree is a religious component to celebrating a jolly fat man clad in red and children have to leave offerings of alcohol and vegetables to appease him..."

Iy'dan was stopped short as the deck started to vibrate and the large vertical oval windows on the upper level of the promenade started to let in a green light, dim to start with but it was building in intensity.

"What the blazes!" Vincent exclaimed, working to keep to his feet, and feeling a bit dizzy. "What is happening?" he could feel his heart racing like it wanted to leap out of his chest. He was feeling frightened at this.

Harley's thoughts of underwear disappeared, as the weird green glow started filling the viewports, she looked quickly to see where the boys were at, gripping onto Peter's arm tightly. "We can't be separated again, we just can't." she hoarsely whispered.

Charlie stopped as she spotted the green glow. "Oh boy here we go again. I swear if it's another AI that makes everyone loopy I'm not going to be happy," she said out loud.

She slammed her comm. badge. "Brooks to Haistro. Captain something weird is happening down in the promenade.

Her call to Ops was met by only static.

Peter held his wife close while calling the boys back. "We will not be separated again," he promised her. He listened as Charlie called to OPS, watching the green glow intensify. "OPS this is Horn, are we reading any anomalies? We are experiencing a green light here on the promenade. Are sensors registering anything?"

Once again the call to Ops was met by nothing more than static as the green light continued to intensify along with the vibration in the deck which was starting to knock people from their feet, sparks from overtaxed fixtures started to make the lights flicker.

Now Vincent was a brave enough man, after all, he's lived through the earthquakes that hit California from time to time. However this was something new to him. Not only the dizziness that was hitting him but now.. he hit the floor with the shaking of the station. Vincent was feeling a sense of panic well up inside, part of him was screaming for him to show a brave face in front of his husband. The other part, was wanting him to curl up into a ball and whimper. The intense green glow crept closer and closer, intensifying to where he shut his eyes and yelled out in a panick. "Iy'dan!" tears rolling down his cheeks, feeling so terrified! He'd never faced something like this before!

When the boys drew near to Harley and Peter, she pulled them close to her. Hearing the static coming from the commbadge, no answer. She barely managed to lower herself to the floor, as the station shook and the sparks flew, holding onto the children. She leaned against Peter, hoping that they would survive what was happening.

Peter wrapped his arms around his family, his eyes scanning their surroundings. Static from OPS meant that comms were likely down. "We need to get out of the open!" he called out, watching the people around them.

Melinda clung to Hiro, her eyes wide with fear as she struggled to keep to her feet. "What's going on Hiro, what was that?" she whispered, "oh no the children! We have to get to them, we have to make sure they're safe."

Hiro could only make assumptions as to what was going on, but even he had to admit that this didn't look good. "No. I will get them." He looked at his future wife to be. "You go home straight away. I will bring Rowan and Miri to you."
