Mission: Episode 4 - The Fires Of Hades
Location: Horn Family Home
Timeline: after the wedding

Though they'd been here several days now, Peter scooped up his wife into his arms now, and carried her across the threshold like he felt he should've done the first time since taking up residence on the station. "Computer lights," he commanded as he gently set her back down on her feet.

As the lights came on, he glanced across their drab grey home, and finally crossed looks with his beloved. "We really should give this place some proper light and colour. This is so... depressing..." He gestured towards the grey and barren walls, and the uncarpeted deck. "What do you think?"

Harley nodded, "I will agree with you, it does need color and that grey really isn't attractive. All drab, not a rich charcoal grey at all. What sort of colors shall we have the walls done? I would suggest a lovely shade of green, for part of it. And some warm earth tones?" wrapping her arm around Peter's waist. And definitely some different lighting."

"I do like the idea of warm earth tones," Peter answered, drawing her close to him. Turning, he lifted her face up towards him, and kissed her. "But green might not be such a good idea," he whispered around the kiss. "How would you find me, if the room is green?" It was obviously a joke, referring to his natural, greenish skin-tone.

She returned the kiss then pulled slightly away her lips very near his. "That would give you the ability to sneak up on me, love, and sweep me into your arms. And carry me into our love nest." her eyes crinkling up with a smile.

"I do not need an excuse to do that," Peter chuckled, easily lifting her back up in his arms, despite trying to avoid using his right hand. It wasn't a conscious effort to do so, he didn't really seem to be aware that he was doing it either. "I would recommend warm but neutral colours for the living area, and we can have at it with brighter colours in the sleeping quarters. I do like the idea of green, but I also like warmer tones like orange."

Harley smiled. " You are as strong as ever my love. Warmer tones sound lovely, and I like the idea of some orange, like a fireplace at night." giving a chuckle. " Lets definitely pick out paints and other decorations. I feel like we are newlyweds." reaching up to caress his cheek. "I am glad that Anja was willing to watch over the kids."

"I dearly hope the boys behave," Peter answered, closing his eyes as he relished the caress. "We could add a fireplace of sorts, lights and sounds and emitting warmth, without all the toxic waste." He opened his eyes again, looking her in the eyes as he still held her up in his arms. Slowly, he made for the bedroom, the door sliding aside upon their approach. "We can do anything we want," he added, now carefully setting her back onto her feet. "This is our home." He did echo the feeling of being newlyweds, despite having been married for a good nineteen years now. "And I have no real intention of moving again."

"More designing ideas or... other designs coming to mind, love." Harley remarked with a cheeky smile. "And I do echo your thoughts and sentiments. I do not feel like moving again either, we've got so many possibilities before us. " one more kiss then she looked around, "Some furniture, nothing that would have a cluttered feeling to it. I feel it needs to flow and have a sense of tranquility with some passion."

"Less is more," Peter agreed, "this is our home, our sanctuary." He paused, looking her straight in her eyes. "A place to feel safe, and secure," he added, reaching to cup her cheek into his hand. His good hand. "I have no further design ideas, I will leave that up to you. I suspect the boys have desires and needs of their own, and we will accommodate. We...should see to our private space first."

"I most certainly agree, love." Harley smiling and placing a kiss upon Peter's lips, savoring taste. She then softly remarked, "I wonder if we'd be able to have a private bath for ourselves, and one set apart for the boys." giving a slight smile. "It would be wonderful having one, or do we already have that?" looking towards a door she had just caught sight of. She'd not really gotten a good look at their place, their home. And what of the closet space?

"We can do anything we want with our own space. If you want us to have our own en-suite, then we shall have one if we do not already." He took her by the hand and pulled her inside of the bedroom. It was extremely sparsely furnished with only a simple double bed, and equally sparse bedding. "Perhaps...investigate that door over there?" he suggested, nodding towards a single door off to the side of the room.

Still holding onto Peter's hand, Harley went to that door to open it. And she smiled, "Something of our own, or do we have to share this with the boys?" She truly hoped they wouldn't have to then she paused, it was selfish of her to think that. Though to be truthful it would be marvelous not to have to worry about being interrupted by wee hands tapping at the door.

"I would assume that this is our own," Peter mused, an amused sparkle in his eyes. "perhaps...we should test it?" he suggested carefully, yet almost playfully. "It does look like it can use water."

Harley turned to look into Peter's eyes, "It looks like it is big enough for the two of us." lifting her lips to his. "I would love to test it out. Shall we check the water?" moving closer to where she could seat herself down and turn on the water. At first the water was cloudy when it came out of the faucet and then it cleared. "It works!" she turned to her husband, with a brilliant smile.

"Fill it up then," Peter suggested with an equally bright smile as he started to shrug out of his uniform jacket. He casually tossed it aside before removing his shirt and undershirt, tossing both items away with equal lack of care. "Nice and hot," he suggested, "with plenty of bubbles."

Harley turned and watched her husband with a smile, then she said "I will be right back." disappearing for a moment then came back in. She had found some of their bubble bath tucked away, and then poured it in, the foam forming into bubbles. The water was nice and hot, and then she turned off the water as it reached the proper portion. Rising up from the edge of the tub, Harley gave a kiss to her husband's bare shoulder, then she disrobed, in preparation to get into the tub, then stepped in, lowering herself down.

"Oh Peter this is heavenly." Harley softly remarked looking up at him.

Peter just smiled as he joined her.

Hours later, Peter stirred, wrapping his arms around his wife's bare form in reflex as he came back to awareness. As he did, he realised they were tangled in the bedsheets, some of which apparently had drifted onto the floor. He smiled as he kissed the top of his wife's head while making a vain effort of drawing the sheets back over them.

Harley lazily opened her eyes, snuggling up in Peter's embrace, then turned to give him a kiss. "Morning love." even though it may not have been morning but she didn't care. "How are you feeling?"

"Rested, and yet exhausted at the same time," Peter answered, drawing his arms tighter around her, reveling in the warmth of her body, "and you?" He shifted one arm to brush a strand of hair from her face, his gaze never wavering.

Another smile at her husband, "I too feel the same way my love. I feel its been too long." angling for another kiss. "This time together has definitely been needed." snuggling closer to her husband once more. "We need to set up date nights love, what do you think?" she was enjoying being held close to Peter in his arms.

"I agree. And I have no intention of getting up just yet," he said, supplying the desired kiss without pause, "I am far too comfortable with you here in my arms. Us, and just us. It has been too long." He made another attempt at drawing the sheets back over them.

Harley moved slightly so that the sheet could be pulled upwards, her leg had been tangled up in it. She warmly chuckled. "It has been way too long I feel." pulling him close once more. "Better?" now that a sheet was pulled up over them.

"Perfect," Peter smiled lovingly, "now we are fully hidden, just in case..." He rolled them over so he was hovering over her, wincing ever so slightly as he used his injured side to lean on as he used his healthy hand to trace her skin with the back of his fingers. "Have I ever told you, how grateful I feel to have you?" he whispered earnestly, "you are my rock... my lifeline in times of dire need. And I feel I wronged you, when I was hurt."

"Well, I won't say that you did or didn't. I will say... we can make up for lost time my love. Or try to do so." giving a bit of a giggle. " I won't mind at all." she noted his wince of pain. "And I can kiss your injuries away. Starting right now." pulling him in for another kiss. "

"That is an impossibility, one cannot reclaim time that is lost," Peter answered logically as he allowed himself to be pulled down. "And I need this monstrosity replaced with something that allows for sensation..." He held up his right hand, giving it a brief glare. "I want to feel you when I touch you... I feel disconnected." He rolled them over so she was now hovering over him, her long hair forming a curtain around their faces. "You do feel different," he finally said, tracing the contours of her face with his left hand. "There is something...different."

Harley nods, "I feel different to me as well.. Peter, where your hand is concerned I can make a suggestion. I found that there is a procedure that you would be able to have your own hand back. They can grow you, your own hand, and it will come from you." she gave a small sigh. "I don't know if I am explaining it correctly, but medical has advance rather well."

Peter froze, quite literally as the words hit. "What? They can what?" Confusion crossed his features as he stared up at her. "How?" He had heard of organs being replaced with one's own, but entire limbs just seemed unreal.

Looking down at her love, her soul mate her husband she leaned in for a kiss before she stated, "Yes they have the means, will have to talk with Melanie about it. It can be done though." just beaming with delight at Peter's reaction.

"I should talk to her about that," Peter corrected her, "and I will.... soon. Right now, I am enjoying quality time with my wife." He grinned up at her, an almost boyish grin. "Private time," he added, drawing the sheet completely over the both of them as if to obscure them from the universe.

Harley, smiled, feeling at peace. She with her husband, just them for now. All seemed right with the world, the universe. She whispered. "This is paradise."
