Thyme, fish & careful what you wish.

Mission: Episode 4 - The Fires Of Hades
Location: Styx Station Mess hall cooking area
Timeline: MD3 20:00

Junjie came rushing in to the galley in the mess hall to meet up with Tamaska. " Sorry I'm late, Had to store a experiment into a shielded container to preserve it. " He gave her a peck on the back of her neck and moved beside her to help with the food preparation. " So how has your day been so far today? "

"Very busy, and I am so glad we decided to bunk together." Tamaska leaning in to give him a kiss. "Well more than just bunk together." giving a low laugh. "Are you certain we've not rushed into things, love? Or do we just not worry and follow the path of Zen we seem to be travelling on?"

" Rushing? " He asked and giving a laugh. " With everything we've been through together, it doesn't feel like we're rushing to me. " He caressed her face and gave her a gentle kiss in return. " My life up to now has been filled with books, experiments and perfecting my craft. I never knew I was missing anything in my life, at least not until I met you. " He looked into her eyes and smiled warmly at her. " Your the most important person in my life, there's not a single day that I wouldn't want to see you. My life was empty without you, and now I am discovering how much better my life is with you in it my Love. " As he leaned in and kissed her once again.

Tamaska wrapped her arms around his waist pulling him in close for a very heartfelt kiss, then she pulled away slightly, "I am very glad we found each other. Now, I do have something for you, I just need to fish it out of my pocket." having a mysterious smile. "I think you are going to love this."

She stepped back and pulled out a black velvet bag, and presented it to Junjie. "Lieutenant Junior Grade Junjie Han, I have the honor of giving you this. Open it as you are now a full Lieutenant. Congratulations love!" giving a huge grin.

Junjie stood there for several moments with his mouth gaping open like a fish. " Wha... Seriously? " He said not quite believing what he had just heard. He regained his composure. " Well, will you do the honor of pinning on the new rank for me? It should be done by either someone close or a loved one. " As he removed his old pips to be replaced by the new ones. He leaned forward and kissed her. " Payment for making my day. " He said with a grin.

Tamaska laughed, pinned the new rank pip on Junjie then returned his kiss. "Oh i will be very happy to return this sort of payment." pulling him into a fervent kiss once more. Then she released him reluctantly, "We need to get our cooking done now, I am getting quite the appetite for more than one thing now."

Junjie laughed. " It's a good thing we're off duty now. " He said. " I was able to get a hold of a salmon, replicated sadly. But I think it should make a good meal, And if there's no objections I will prepare it straight away. It would be rude for me to keep a lady waiting when she has an appetite. "

"Right now, food is food. And it will taste delicious, love. It doesn't matter if it is replicated, how it is prepared is more important. Especially if it is prepared with love." giving him one more kiss then moving over for them to continue to get their food done. She moved over to check on the rice.

Junjie quickly descaled the salmon and then scored the flesh on both sides and rubbed thyme over the fish and butterfly filet it and putting the remainder of thyme inside. He made a simple seasoned melted butter sauce to dip the salmon in. He looked to where Tamaska was to see what she was working on. " Mmm.. The rice and steamed vegetables are smelling delicious my love. Shall we eat here or return to our quarters? " He asked.

Tamaska contemplated just a moment or two then she responded. "I say we clean this up and take our food to our quarters. I feel like a more intimate dinner, don't you?" giving a nibble along Junjie's ear then down to his neck. Then she smiled.

"How does that sound love?" then giving him a kiss.

He caressed her face gently and looked into her eyes. "That sound wonderful to me, Let me wrap this up to go and I'll get the candles going once we get back. Oh and after dinner I'll play a new piece for you that I've been working on. It's a gypsy violin piece from Romania, Interested? " He asked grinning.

"I am very interested." Tamaska responded, with another smile. then helped to gather up the food and take it to hers and Junjie's quarters. "I can hardly wait to eat our dinner, in the privacy of our place."

[Quarters]

Tamaska took the time to change out of her uniform into something more comfortable, but pretty. She had put on a black skirt and a green peasant style blouse which slipped off one shoulder enticingly. Then she set to work on setting the table, and leaving the candles for Junjie to light.

Junjie spoke out loud. " Computer, I will be lighting two candles, suppress in flame larger then two candles. " " Acknowledged " Came the computers response. Junjie chuckled and looked at Tamaska. " We don't need the ship's fire suppression system ruining our ambience tonight now do we? Oh and did I mention how fantastically beautiful you look tonight? Well you do. " He stated. as he lit the candles and then moved over to where he could pull out her chair for her to be seated. As she sat down he kissed the back of her shoulder where the sleeve had slipped down. " Bon Appetit. " He whispered into her ear and then moved around to serve her her dinner and pour the wine.

Tamaska watched as he poured the riwine, loving how he moved. She loved how the light from the candles was reflected his eyes. Just how lucky was she to have found a man like Junjie. When he sat across from her, Tam sighed in contentment.

"You are so handsome, love. I just can't seem to get enough of looking at you." giving a warm gentle smile. "Being able to share quarters with you, to snuggle up against you when we retire for the night...." her cheeks turn a delicate pink and she continued her thoughts. "I love waking up in the morning seeing you lying beside me in bed." she picked up her chopsticks to begin eating, smiling at Junjie.

As Junjie finished pouring the wine he bent down and kissed the back of her neck and then blew gently on the spot and then walked around to pour his own wine and serve himself his portion. " I know what you mean my love. " He said as he seated himself across from her and looked deeply into her eyes.

" This morning when I woke up, I saw you angelic face as you slept and I thought to myself that this is what I want to see every morning when I awake for the rest of my life. Our paths are intertwined, when I look at you I know that I have found my soulmate. You are the perfect woman for me and there is no other, I want to spend the rest of my life and forever with you Tamaska. So I will ask you formally, will you be my bride and make me the happiest man alive? I will do everything I can to make you happy for the rest of our lives. "

How can one describe the feelings that tumbled through Tamaska's mind, and soul. This was something she hadn't really expected, though she had hoped that someday she and Junjie would marry. She felt happiness elation, concern and somewhat scared. Could this be too soon?

Then she remembered asking Mel if her feelings for Junjie was too fast. and Mel had told her, 'Just go for it!'. Tam inwardly asked herself does this feel right and it did.

With a radiant smile, Tam moved from the table and went to Junjie wrapping her arms around him. "Oh my love, yes, I would be happy to have you be my husband." then kissing him passionately, and ending up in his lap.

He returned the kiss with a passion equal to hers, he pulled back gently and brushed a stand of hair away from her face. " I am relieved that you said yes, There was a million things going through my mind and it seemed like an eternity before you answered. " He lowered his head to her shoulder. " I don't think I've ever been so nervous in my life, but we now have a solid path towards our future together. "

Junjie once again looked up at his bride to be. " Before we discuss when we want to get married, may I say something? We both have a lot of work to do in helping to get the station up and running, That and the Captain has given all senior officers multiple task to accomplish. Should we wait until we get the work done and have some breathing room, or just go ahead and get it done? I'll leave that up to you. "

Tamaska gave Junjie another kiss, whilst she thought over his question, running her fingers through his hair, she pulled back and nibbled at his ear before responding.

"Mel and Keiben will be married soon, I don't want to take away from their moment. However, do we really wish to wait any longer. With what we've experienced so far, I don't really want to take any chances. If even if it is for only a moment of time, I want to be your bride. To be Mrs. Han." Tamasaka kissing him once more.

" I agree, It's their time to shine. Our time will come soon enough, but regardless your mine now, just as I am yours and I'm never letting go. " As he leaned in for another kiss and pulled her closer into his embrace.

"You better believe it, you are mine." giving a giggle, then giving into another embrace and kiss. However, that passionate moment was interrupted by a loud grumble from Tamaska's stomach, startling her slightly. "Oh my!" she gasped out. "I am thinking that, I need to let you and me get some food." giving a light laugh.

" Aww. Do I have to? " He asked with a grin. He stood up still holding onto her and walked around and set her in the chair. " We will continue with the mandatory cuddling after dinner and I have an idea for dessert." He gazed at her for several moments before snapping back to the present. " I guess I better get to eating this before it gets cold. And if anyone asks how my day has been I can that it has been the best day of my life so far. "

Tamaska giggled giving him another kiss, then watched as he went back to his side of the table. She reached out her barefoot and ran her toes up and down his leg smiling while eating her food. "I'm sure you do have an idea for dessert, maybe the same dessert I am in the mood for." she purred. "I noticed that you had your violin case out. Did you have something in mind for that?"

" Indeed I do. But I almost forgot about it until you reminded me of it. " He said as he walked towards the violin case. He was pretty certain that he had the piece down pat, so he would forgo the use of the sheet music. Junjie Rosined up the bow before he began, It was a romantic Romanian gypsy song from the early 19th century.

He took a deep breath and closed his eyes as he began to play, as he played he could feel the music swelling up inside of him and he let it take control. He poured his heart into this piece for the woman that he loved so dearly, as he offered this piece of his soul to her. As the song wound down and ended, he opened his eyes to see her reaction and knew that no matter how beautiful the song was, it would never be as beautiful as she was. He smiled and felt content knowing that.

Tamaska lost herself in the music as well, watching, listening to the song of his heart the passion coming from his playing. When he finished playing Tamaska was almost in tears at the beauty, and was moved. She gave out a sigh, smiling radiantly. "I am so happy we found each other on that night when we first played. It was meant to be, Junjie, my love."

She looked at the table, where the remnants of the food was there. Not much was left, one hunger satisfied, but another was still there. Tamaska looked back at Junjie, "How about we get this cleaned up and well... have some dessert." giving a seductive smile, moving her hair from her shoulder.

He walked over to her and swept her up in his arms. " The dishes can wait until later." As he carried her towards the bed chamber.
