Mission: Episode 3 - Fear Is Fear Itself
Location: SB50 before joining Corpernicus

ON:

There was something incredibly sobering about receiving official orders in the middle of a stag do. Liam just had to excuse himself and walked outside to read the message several more times. Then he realised coffee was required and was about to turn back in and ask for a cup when he collided with Niska.

She looked dressed to the nines but pale as anything. “What’s wrong?”

“I can’t do it …” she said. She looked to actually be shaking.

“Do what?” He asked.

“I wanted too … I thought if I … if Patton .. I seduced him I could stop Aer …this happening or maybe be part of it but …”

“All you would be doing is wrecking everything for Aer. She wouldn’t forgive you. You could never have her that way,” he told her. “And Jack I’m sorry … he doesn’t share even if Aer might be open to that idea.”

“I have to get out of here,” she said suddenly turning and running.

“Nis … Niska …” Liam watched on sadly. He felt his head spin. Yes he needed coffee and to talk to Kaylee. Looking down at his Padd again, she had sent him a message. How was everything going?”

“I wasn’t expecting this,” Liam muttered.

“Baby, I need to talk to you. Urgently in person,” he typed back. “Can you sneak out of the hen do for a few minutes?”

There was an immediate answer. "I'll be out shortly, love" A few minutes later, Kaylee showed up giving Liam an embrace and a kiss. "What is going?" she asked, "Is everything alright?" sensing that his emotions were in a turmoil. Wrapping her arms around him.

He held his Padd out to her. “I’ve been ordered to report to Starbase 308 immediately. As in tonight. No explanation and an admiral I've never heard of is insisting. It says their sending you an alternative assignment in the next few days to join me. I’m going to have to miss the wedding.”

Kaylee reading it over, gasped then her eyes lifted to his. "Oh wow! That.. this.. this is big! And okay, I'm sure something will be arranged for someone to be there for Patton." she mused, then wrapped her arms around Liam giving him a warm embrace. "Which means we'll be separated for only a short time. However when duty calls." she stated softly. "And you have to leave right now." Kaylee added. "Then kiss me like there is no tomorrow and our reunion will be rather sweet, and maybe spicy? " waggling her eyebrows up and down towards Liam with a cheeky smile. Though she was saddened that they would be separated for now.

“I hate the idea of leaving you but as you say orders are orders. At least we are lucky they have decided to let us stay together. It does feel big. It feels … 308 is the station that Jon’s ship keeps resupplying back too. It feels like …. I don’t know. Like the goddesses are still lining things up for us. You and me. I’ve been feeling that twin pull to Jon for a while,” he said holding her close for the brief time they had until she joined him again.

"And I am going back to where it all began, the event that led me to you, my love. My Imzadi." feeling some chills race up and down her whole body. "I am glad we will be together, Liam. And the goddesses are guiding us, I feel that it is right." Kaylee replied looking deep into his eyes.

“Baby stay safe. Someone’s trying to frame Hiro. I don’t want either of you getting hurt in whatever’s happening right now,” he told her seriously.

"I will do my utmost best, just... you be careful as well." lifting her head for one more long passionate kiss. "I love you, and I appreciate you." And one other thing that she does, She pulls out the ring that has been on a chain around her neck and hands it to Liam, after taking it off the chain. She then holds out her ring finger. "Will you do me the honor?" with things changing in their lives. Kaylee was going to have the fact she and Liam are married to be out there now. No more secret.

“No more secret,” he agreed pushing the ring gently on her finger. Then he kissed her hand. He pulled his own out his pocket, Hiro having been the only person who had seen it bar Kaylee to date. He smiled and held his out to her to do the same. It was never coming off now.

Kaylee smiled and slipped his ring upon his finger, "I like this, I like this very much." another kiss. "I love you dearly."

“I love you too, more than anything and I’ll see you in a few days. Let Teena know will you so she doesn’t worry and could you apologise to a Jack for me? I’ll sort out an incredibly huge make up wedding gift for him. For them …. I’m sure someone else can step in as best man.

"I am sure someone will do so. And they will understand why you had to leave." Kaylee holding onto him tightly, "And yes I will let them know."

Oh,” he said stepping away reluctantly, something else entering his head. “Can you do one more thing for me? Niska's a mess. She was thinking about doing something rash and stupid. Desperate to try win back Aer and we’ll she ran off. I’m sure she won’t. She loves Aer and couldn’t live with herself if she ruined her happiness. If you do see her. She needs some tlc,” he said sadly.

Kaylee released Liam reluctantly. "I will be looking for her, and will make certain to lift her spirits up. I do what I can. I will be seeing you soon enough, my love. I have to get back now as well." she sweeps into his arms one more time one last kiss before he leaves. "OK TTFN, Ta ta for now. My love." giving a slight sigh, then she straightened her shoulders. "The sooner we get this investigation the better." Flashing Liam a brilliant smile. "I have faith, and I have hope and.. I have you!"

“Me too beautiful,” he smiled back. “TTFN.”

With that Liam walked off into the crowd ready for a brand new chapter. His beautiful wife joining him soon.
