Tam was glad to have the life support up and running better than what it had been, though she was still nervous as a cat on a hot tin roof. She had gone into the captain's ready room and immediately came back out. She just wasn't ready to sit in there as of yet and look through the former captain's belongings. To whom was there, "How are things looking for getting the ship moving to the station?"

"I don't know." After helping getting the suited patient to sickbay, Adrian had returned to the bridge in the hopes of getting the science station operational. It was well beyond his area of expertise, but it made him feel useful. "I'm trying to get sensors operational, and maybe the deflector but so far I'm not having much luck."

"I think I have helm and Navigation close to being operational" Adams called from the open deck panel infront of the old fashioned station at the front of the bridge. He had dropped down into the crawl space, somehow managing to fit his entire frame into the space and still have space to work.

The sweat dripped from Jon's face as he took another swipe from his brow. "Well, I had an idea. We don't need to go far, just a push in that direction, I wouldn't recommend to fire impulse or even think about warp with the lack of structural integrity and forcefields holding us together." He pointed to a small hole in the ceiling of the bridge. "But, I think I can bump us towards the station using the RCS thrusters and then essentially coast over there. Use them again to slow us. May take us a bit longer but, of all the options I can think of, probably the safest and least likely to rip the ship in half."

A electrical sparking sound followed by a baritone exclamation of pain and a brief strobing of lights from the hatch in front of the helm before the blond hybrid Klingon/Human appeared blowing on his fingers.
"Helm is online Commander!"

"Thank you Adams!" Tam exclaimed, with delight. "I am happy to hear that"

Tam looked at Stoun and the others who were there with her. "Okay Let's do what you recommend Chief. I do not relish the idea of the ship being ripped in half. I would much rather make it to the station to where we are more safe than what we are currently." she didn't voice her other thoughts. Tam was hoping that the station won't attack the ship as they neared the station.

"Not to be negative here but Commander we have no idea what the state of play is on that station or if we would be more safe there. They could be people on there and not friendly. Shouldn't we try get some weapons operational first?" Minka suggested.

"Not that I disagree, these ships don't have much in the way of firepower or shielding, I can probably get something working, maybe have a torpedo ready if need be. Phasers maybe enough for one or two pulses." The engineer looked over the readouts on the panel he was at. "Probably a few hours to do the work if the systems are intact."

"More than that Minka, and I hate to disagree with you but this ship is being held together by the grace of the fates, the prophets... hell even the long dead Klingon Gods. We can't stay here. The systems won't hold indefinably" sounding far older and far wiser than he was as Adams rounded the navigation console and dropped down into the chair. He started to slowly bring power up to the station as indicators and warning lights started to flash into existence once more. He ignored most of them knowing they would be indicating the present condition of the ship. "Your orders Commander?"

Tam thought for a moment, a brief moment, then said, "Don't worry about the weapons. One or two pulses to fire at an incoming ship or enemy, isn't enough. We need to concentrate on getting to the station. And I feel that there are people on that station our people waiting for us. Lets get to them even if we are inching along. Progress of any type is good. Make it so." she commanded.

“Aye ma’am,” Minka said. “Chief shall I work on communications now?” She asked. If they could hardly defend themselves maybe they could confirm who they were coming too.

Tam worried her lip slightly, then moved towards the chair of command to take a seat. This was going to be quite the experience.

"Yeah, hopefully they aren't too fried, if this goes south we could at least send drop a buoy or something to indicate stay away." Jon's looked over his console and hit a few screens. "I've moved power from the sections we aren't using, see if you can get it up."

Brodie looked up at the hole in the ceiling. " Commander, with your permission I could get a pair of thruster boots and put and emergency weld patch over that hole. With it's size it shouldn't take more then a minute or two tops, and it's something I can do easily enough. Orders? "

"If you need any help..." Adrian offered, "Science station remains dark, I've got no idea how to fix it." He offered an apologetic smile. "I'm but a simple chemist..I'm not even qualified for bridge duty."

Tam looked at both Adrian and Bain. "You know that is a great idea. Bain, Sage, go ahead and do the repair. I think it would be good to have two pairs of hands to do that task." smiling in approval. "That will leave Chief to check up on other things. Make it so."

Brodie went over to the wall locker and grabbed another pair of thruster boots and goggles and handed them to Adrian. " I'd be glad for the help. " Responded Brodie. " I can show you how to do this easily enough. If we can patch up enough holes and take a number of these emergency force fields offline, Then this girl will have the power she needs to do her job properly. You up for it? " he asked with a grin.

Adrian gulped but nodded slowly. "Uh sure." he struggled to get the boots on. "So how do these things work? I won't fall over while up there right?"

"One foot in front of the other and don't look up," Minka advised seriously. "Chief any chance of getting a look at the comms. array while he's out there. Its not far."

"Don't look up? Out there?" Adrian stammered. "I thought we were staying inside the bridge dome?"

Brodie laughed. " Nice one Minka, Wicked sense of humor there. But give the rookie a break will ya? At least he wants to help and is willing to try. " He said with a grin.

" Ok Adrian, this is going to be easy. " Brodie quietly explained. " Gently curl the toes and you'll feel a soft click, that turns the boots on. To move forward point yours toes inward till they touch and you move forward. Angle your toes outward and touch your heels together and you'll go backwards. shift your knees to the right, you go right and shift left, you go left. To go up you point angle your toes upward and down you angle the toes downward and you'll descend until you touch the floor. To turn them off, pull off the boots. "

Brodie looked at Adrian. " Lets go to the ready room for a little practice first and then we'll get to work, Sound good ? "

"Sounds good," Adrian agreed, grateful for the opportunity to practice first. "What a weird sense to do though, control a shoe by moving your toes.... wouldn't it be safer to have external controls? Like a remote?"

Minka shot him a look. He really was a rookie. “Better ensure it's fastened to the suit real good. If you accidentally lost that while working outside of the ship you would be really scuppered.”

" There is a remote unit for when your wearing the suit and working outside of the ship, And you know Starfleet. Backups for everything. But since we're working inside the ship and without the suits the toe controls will be fine. If we come to and area where the room is in vacuum and we have to suit up, then I'll show you how to use the remote. "

Adrian looked himself over, then cast the man a questioning look. "I still am in a suit..." he pointed out, gesturing at the EV suit he still wore. It was cumbersome but it was preferable over being in his undergarments, wasn't it?

Jon shook his head and smiled. "Ma'am. Good to go as I am over here, try comms now, see if you get anything."

"For the ship or trying to see if we can contact the others." Tamaska then paused. "Stoun, Adams, how much of an extra push can we manage, to head the Yosemite towards the station?"

"Impulse reactors are online and operating at about ten percent of normal... They should be enough to give us a nudge with the reaction control thrusters" Adams started pouring over the information that the aging console was showing him. It lacked the precision detail he had been accustomed to on Copernicus but at least it was working. "I'm not sure how long the reactors will last but the nudge should take us within proximity of the station in just over ten minutes.... maybe less depending on current flow within the patch!"

Tam was about to say make it so when she realized she had already done so. "Okay let's do this." feeling the slight inertia from the impulse engines thrusters engage. She could see that they were moving forward, towards the station then there was another indication of the ship moving a bit more quicker. "I think we've just caught a current!"

As it seemed the ship was nearing the station, all those who are on the Yosemite could feel the effect of a transporter beaming them away.
