Mission: Episode 3 - Fear Is Fear Itself
Location: Yosemite

ON:

Tam led her team towards the bridge, she wasn't certain if there was anyone alive there but still had to find out. When they reached the area which led to the bridge she looked at Mel, "Well looks like we get to go out there. You ready?" as she reached out to get the door open. The door wouldn't budge open, and Tam growled slightly, she moved to the panel at the side of the door, to open it manually. the door opened slightly and Tam set the panel cover down, rising to her feet. "Lets hope that the shield is up so we don't get sucked out into space." she remarked.

So far they hadn't experienced the vacuum effect that would come if there wasn't any emergency force field. Tam went to start pulling the door open more, she was strong but definitely needed help to open it more. "Verona give me a hand here!" she grunted out.

Stepping up the other side of the doorway, Sher’ra grabbed hold of the door and began to pull, giving a few grunts and growls in the process. “Whoever designed these doors this way needs to be caught in them”

"What do you want me to do?" Adrian managed, feeling terribly out of place as the most junior member of the team.

Tamaska grunted as she put her back against the door that was slowly opening pushing with one leg against the frame to open it wider with Verona's help.

"Adrian, Mel, see if you can squeeze in and find out if the person whom we had picked up is alive."

Adrian hesitated as he eyed the tight squeeze opening, then looked at the Trill physician. Normally, he would've offered for her to go first but in this instance he felt 'ladies first' wasn't the right move to make. "Okay," he managed to squeak out, "I'll go first..." He tightly gripped his phaser and wiggled his way through the tight opening. "Careful doc," he called back after nearly tripping over some debris.

"Im right behind you," Mel said angling her med kit in front of her and carefully stepping sideways. She sucked her stomach in and carefully stepped over the debris that Adrian had discovered. The air coming through was damp and thick. If someone was alive they had been stuck in an awful environment. She smelt the dead first before laying eyes on them. As soon as they had the space and more of the bridge came into view their eyes adjusting, she was immediately scanning.

"One extremely faint heartbeat," she mumbled walking towards the poor son of a bitch. Her eyes read the readouts on her tricorder. "Clever chap though. Hes injected himself with Roxiacilyn. For a Orion, combined with pure stubborness of mind. I don't know the exact process but hes dam well got himself close to a state of suspended animation. He couldn't do it indefinitely but for now ... oh you clever boy."

"Commander if we can get him to a working sickbay I can bring him round with whats in my kit."

The lack of atmosphere around Jaas'rah negated any sound that he could hear but the movement near him alerted him to the presence of someone on the bridge, the only problem was that his suit had long past run out of power and only his ability plug his suit into a reserve tank of oxygen hidden within a station had saved his life until this point. He began to thrash his arms in the hopes he could be seen in the dimly light bridge, his Orion steel of character leaving him as he started to feel the fear of his situation.

"Thanks Sher'ra." Tam responded, "Okay let's get him to Medical." just then a chirp came to comm badge she tapped it hearing G'Rani

=^="G'rani to Commander Holt, can you read?"=^=

"Oh my gosh!" Tam responded, "Yes I can read you." she went to where the gaping front of the bridge and looked out, and her eyes widened. "I can see you!" she looked at Sher'ra, Mel and Adrian. "Okay, orders get him go sickbay, I'm going to bring some of our people here." moving to the console to see if she can bring up a display. It didn't seem to work until she slammed her fist on it in frustration, it flickered to life. "I'll see about getting a tractor beam on you!" to G'rani.

Her fingers flew on the console, opening a shuttle bay door, and then sent out a tractor beam locking onto the escape pod, to draw it into the shuttle bay. "Okay G'Rani You're being brought in."

Adrian's attention was first drawn to the pod that was tumbling towards him, however then movement from the corner of his eye drew his attention. "Doctor!" he called out, rushing towards the thrashing figure that was nearly hidden in the dim light.

looking across the bridge towards where she last saw Adrian, Sher'ra saw him rush towards something in the darker areas of the bridge. Turning up the brightness of her helmet lights, she used them to flood the bridge with light as much as she could. "What is it?"

"I don't know," the science officer called out as he knelt down beside the figure. "A survivor, and he needs help," he finally reported. "Easy..." He rested his hand on the figure's shoulder, knowing full well that even with his own gloved hands, a touch wouldn't be very reassuring. "You'll be alright.”

“Im going to give you a sedative,” Mel said gently, “and we are going to get you to sick bay. Can you carry him Adrian?”

"I can try ma'am," Adrian answered, stooping to hoist the figure up to his feet and sling an arm across his shoulder to support him. "Space suit's a bit cumbersome," he muttered under his breath, "I'll drag him if I have to..."

“Well if I get his legs between us we can do it if we can get that door opened wider. If the chief can get the transporters up the better,” the Trill commented.

The science officer grabbed the injured person under his arms then held fast on his under arm to keep him from slipping from his grasp. "Transporters would be good," he huffed, "gosh he's heavy!"

The comlink in the helmets chirped and the baratone exuberance of Ensign Adams came through loud and clear.
"Commander, standby. Emergency power is about to be restored!"

"Alright standing by." Tam responded, then she looked over her shoulder to Mel and Sher'ra and Adrian, glad she and Verona were able to get the door open wide enough for them to get through.

"Adams, would there be enough power to use the transporters?" Tam asked.

“Let’s hope so. I’d rather not make a space walk” Sher’ra commented

The pause on the commline was only a moment. "Yes sir I believe so!"

"I was going to use the tractor beam, instead lock on those in the escape pod, and beam them directly to sick bay once the life support is up and running Mel and the others will meet them there shortly."

Tam looking at Sher'ra, Mel and Sage. "Rendezvous to sickbay."

"Aye maam," Mel said. "I'll do what I can to make him comfortable while we wait for the transporters and life support."
